No more nightly fireworks???

Please forgive me if this is old news-we havent been able to afford a WDW trip in 2 years & I haven't been on the Dis for a few weeks.

My parents were in WDW this week-they are an older couple & they don't always stay in the parks late enough for fireworks. They told me that their park schedule stated that MK only had fireworks for 2 nights this week & they said something similar for Epcot.....is that true?? Surely they were mistaken. I know that MVMCP happens this time of year, but not 5 nights per week & I don't recall any special ticketed events that limit access to Epcot. My parents often misread things, so I'm hoping they are incorrect about no more nightly fireworks in WDW-especially this time of year.

Please tell me they are mistaken?

I check schedules everytime we visit the World so we can plan what park on what day, and I have noticed that Wishes, the current fireworks show at MK, does not go on every night, at least according to the schedule. As for Epcot, Illuminations of Earth has always been on the schedule every night in the week, usually at 9 pm during the time of year we go (the fall).

Wow, 5 out of 7 night are MVMCP though? That seems really unfair for vacationers without party tickets. We were there this exact week a few years ago & I think they only held the party 2-3 nights max.

What about Epcot though? My parents said the Illuminations schedule was also not listed as nightly-?

They are incorrect about illuminations. It is shown every night.

IllumiNations is usually at 9:00 but during the month of December it is at 9:30. There is also a special ending to IllumiNations for the holiday season.

It would seem that since last Friday, there have only been only 3 nights when Wishes would have been shown -on Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday. Illuminations has been nightly at 9:30 all week.

It was bad enough in November when there were like 3-4 parties the week we went- and I wasn't about to shell out $80 for a ticket just to see Wishes more then once that week!!

If your staying at a monorail resort it's great to watch the party fireworks from there! It is different from Wishes.
