Now C33 accessible only. I do think that the C33 members aren't getting enough for their dollar and Disney should offer more perks since they've jacked entrance and annual dues through the roof, but to see the Lilly go bye bye for the avg. Joe is certainly a sad moment.

That makes me sad. We've never managed to do it and we were going to make it a priority on our next trip. That was one of the cool and special things about Disneyland that sets it apart from Six Flags, etc. Too bad...:sad1:

Oh, wow! I didn't know that. It IS sad but I can't say it's unexpected. After all of the time, effort and expense they put into restoring it, I can see how it would be something they'd try hard to preserve. Having so many people tromp through every day must put a lot of wear and tear on it, and some of those things can't be replaced.

Still, it is a little depressing to love Disney the way so many of us do and feel you may never get the chance to experience or see some of those iconic artifacts and sights.

I guess there were thefts/vandalism too. Sad state of our society when people don't treat other's things with respect.

That's so sad! I'm glad we got to ride it for my parents' anniversary last year, though.

To clarify, it is not a Club only item. But Club members are among the few groups still allowed on. What I was told was they tried the experiment of doing tours daily (where you signed up to ride with a conductor) but there was so much damage and theft they determined it wasn't worth it. It was previously a very limited access item. There were also issues with CMs having a lot of problems with guests when they told them the tours were full for the day and people becoming nasty.

On the damage/theft thing, shame they didn't have some mechanism of tying your park tickets to riding, and if there was theft, you got banned/back billed/prosecuted.

On limited availability, that happens with all ticketed items. If people got unruly, call security and escort them off property.

Glad I got to ride it this past June. I'm very sorry to hear about people vandalizing and taking things off the car. When my husband and I rode we and the cast member were the only ones in there, and it was great. I felt like a queen in my private coach.

Wow, that's awful about the theft and vandalism. I'm so glad we were able to ride it last July. I had to try 3 separate days because of possible rain, but the experience was worth it. My husband loves Disney history, and it was a highlight of our trips.

Well, I don't see myself ever accessing Club 33 nor anything like it so, in my reality, the Lilly Belle now exists on some parallel, non-existent world. Not mine. It's all good.

The problem is you often have several groups on at once with the CM. When the picture was stolen, the CM said it was there when he stood up to go open the door and escort people off, and it was gone when he walked back in. There were 12 people in 5 groups. No clue which one did it. At least with members, there is usually only one group on at a time, and they do have credit cards on file to be billed for damage/people skipping out on bills/fail to shows/etc...

This is extremely disappointing. Last trip every time we tried it was booked for the day. My boys and I were already talking about how we were really looking forward to it on our next trip and that it would be a high priority on our to do list. Anyone know if you get to ride it on the walk in walts footsteps tour?

Not at this time, and I doubt in the future either, but you never know. You can ride if you are on a VIP tour.

ARRRGH this makes me so sad..not upset but just mad at myself I didn't take the opportunity to do it on all our previous trips. Between this and advertising Frozen plush on the Disney Store and letting me add it to the cart then says "Not available" I want to cry :(

Everything in there was screwed down, even the picture frames/books/etc. Wonder how they made off with something. That picture was also there last May when we rode.
