I was doing a little menu hopping over at All Ears Net and noticed that the updated Le Cellier Menu no longer lists the Chocolate Mousse.

Has anyone been there since Feb to confirm? I can live without, but I thought for a Canadian Rest. that this was a perfect match.

OH NO!!! I hope this isn't true. DD(6yo) loves it and always asked to go back to "the restaurant with the chocolate moose." It's a win-win for me, since I love the mushroom filet.

If the "moose" is no longer on the menu, we might not go to Le Cellier every trip -- but I'll still angle for it every now and again.

We'll be there on 4/19 and plan to try to order it regardless of its menu status. I'll report back if we're successful.

If you are referring to the dessert that they make to look like a moose, then yes it is still available. We were there a couple of weeks ago and my wife and sister both got it. It looks very good but I can never pass up the oppurtunity for creme brule.

From what I have been reading, you need to be prepared to give yours to your 6 year old, because they severely limit the dessert options for kids to ice cream or a fruit cup. Dh and I plan to give our desserts there to our kids. We don't care too much, and they do!

Geez, a kid can't get a chocolate moose at Le Cellier. I think it's a good dessert, but it's clearly designed and targeted for kids. I hate this new children's menu crap. Can you just by your kids a chocolate moose OOP? It can't be more than $5.00 right?

Yes it's still there (at least in Feb), but is not on the kid's menu anymore. It is now on the regular menu.

Right you are. We did that last October and December, but I forgot to mention it here.

I was disappointed they stopped using fresh fruit for the eyes and nose, though -- those were the parts I liked best, and DD was more than willing to give those yummy berries to me. Now I find the candy ones much too sweet, but DD loves them.

Thanks for the recent reports. Glad to know it's still available!!!

I plan to buy the Chocolate Moose for my kids, even though we're on the dining plan. I don't want to share mine.

yep, it's still there, we ate it on March 29th.;) But it did only appear on the adult menu.

They have taken a lot of the better kid desserts and put them on the adult menu. This way the DDP can't get it without paying OOP and the paying guests still have that choice.
