Just seen a thread on the main board saying no more HSM shoe at HS from 2nd October. Anyone know what is replacing it?

DD will be upset, she has just got into HSM this year and had been talking about the show.

I saw that on the Theme Parks Boards this afternoon. There was a link on the first post of the thread where I saw it. I can't remember what's to replace it, but there is a gap until about 22 October before the new show replaces it, so there will be nothing there for 3 weeks.

We go the 15th so should see the new show our second week.

Good timing on your part then. Did you find that thread? I remember there was Camp Rock and two other things lined up for the replacement. I didn't read the details in the link, just the headlines. DD is only interested in HSM if she is getting clothes, toys or stationery. She can't be bothered with the actual story line or music. :confused3

No panic found the thread, the new show starts 22nd Octoner and is HSM and camp rock songs.

No idea about camp rock but DD will be happy with a HSM song or two.

Also saw Belle story time show is definitely closing which again DD was looking forward to but a new rapunzel meet and greet will be there from 15th October, promoting the new film Tangled.

**A new show will begin at Hollywood Studios on October 22nd. The show is being described as a "rock-concert style show" and incorporates music from the "High School Musical" series as well as "Camp Rock." As a result, the High School Musical 3: Senior Year stage show will be performed for the last time on October 2nd.

Actually quite pleased about that. Not that Belle is going, but that there is a new meet n greet. DD was picked to "help" with the story last year with Belle so she had a good last experience of it. We nearly didn't bother with it - so glad we did. I don't know that she would have been too fussed about checking times to see it again this year so this should be something nice and fresh for us to go and check out.

:thumbsup2 Thanks. I didn't read too carefull - just skimmed over it as it's not really DD's cup of tea.

Is your DD 8 did you say? My twin nieces are just turned 9 and are far too mature for HSM of course.

My DD is only 4. She has just been invited to a HSM and hannah montana themed birthday party so I think HSM must still be very popular with the 4/5/6 year old girls.

I don't know. My daughter has quite different interests. She quite likes Hannah Montanna but even when HSM first came out she wasn't interested. She told me its "boring" sitting around listening to music. I must admit at 6 or 7 that's not what I would have been doing. I must be behind the times here. When DD turned four she had a Disney Princess Party. That was my doing. :guilty: They all loved it though.

Saying that, they played HSM and HM music at the Studios EMH dance party and she loved that. I think the volume might have something to do with it. We had a some "domestic" issues in the house when DD was little (not even 2 years old) and sudden or loud noises, loud music, even sudden bursts of laughter distress her in a way I can't begin to describe. There was definitely some impact from events she can't even recall, I am convinced of it. Those shows are pretty high volume. Oh well, I am known for not going along with the crowd in terms of taste so maybe she is just like her mum. ;)

Hope your DD likes the new show. :goodvibes

Yes my DD had a princess party at 4 and will be having one at 5 if I get my way so I can reuse all the decorations! Last years was nursery friends and this year will be new school friends.

That must be hard for you if your DD dislikes loud noises. Do you have to avoid things like the car stunt show at HS or is she ok if she knows what is coming.

She seems to be okay if she knows what is coming. I have had to help her to manage it because it would make her life very difficult if she didn't learn to deal with it. It is more human voices, particularly male tones, that seem to upset her. Strangely she has asked to go and see the stunt show after watching the planning DVD. SHe also did fine with the fireworks. I think if it is visibly obvious where the noise is coming from it seems to help too. I don't really understand the whole thing fully, so I can only work with what we know. I do take ear plugs, but last year she didn't use them. :thumbsup2

My DD will be really sad if this show goes, maybe she will like the new show, hopefully.

We just had a panic! But after checking schedule we're OK HS planned for 26th Oct - so will catch new show couldn't be doing with re-arranging plans again! (Though DH thinks we should re-arrange to avoid:lmao:)

MY DD (aged 8) has been the same. She got into HSM when she was around 5 years old but has never beeen an actual fan of the films or music (she probably wouldn't be able to tell you the story line of the films, certainly not #2 and 3! lol), but wanted anything with the HSM logo/pictures on :confused3

After 3 years of having to buy anything and everything with HSM on it I am quite relieved that she now seems to be moving on and wanting Hello Kitty or Icarly mercahndise!

I dont think she knows there was a HSM show at WDW so it won't affect her..what she doesn't know she can't grieve over! lol

Luv Suzy

I know theres alotof sad faces out there, but all i can say is is YEEEESSSSS! :lmao:

Ive actually never watched the show but everytime im in HS and the show is on I always manage to walk past it and end up with 'were all in this together' in my head for the rest of the day :sad2:......Ive got a feeling that song is still going to be in the new show though!

Hop across to MK and visit the Enchanted Tiki Room or IASW. That will put a different song in your head ....

If you are going to do the stunt show just warn your DD there are gunshots near the end (man on motorbike shooting). My DD was only 3 when she saw it and enjoyed it but was a bit confused by the shooting - it's not what you expect in a car show.
