No more front row request on Rip Ride Rockit?

When we visited US a few weeks ago, we were told that you can no longer request the front row on RRR. I love this coaster and I think the front row is the best! I was wondering though, if this was just specific to that TM, or is it a "rule" now.

Has anyone has been successful in requesting the front of RRR lately?! Thanks!

Isn't there a separate line for front row, similar to what Hulk had?

Not a separate queue Robbie......you just told TM when you reached that point you wanted the front and you went over to the side till they were loading front row.....

Shame if that's not an option now as we always do that.......hate the back on that ride, far too rough!

And that is exactly what happened to us! We asked the TM for the front, and he said curtly something along the lines of, "no more holding for front" and put us in the very last row. It was really rough....and the music didn't work that time. It is my all time favorite roller coaster, and I was so disappointed. The next time we road it (a few days later), we just were lucky to get the front. Karma.

I am hoping this was just a fluke day, as it was a Saturday and the wait, even for EP was over 30 minutes.

If the queue for front row is full, they won't add any more people to it. Maybe that is what happened?

It could be that as where they line you up for the front has limited space??

I hope it was a one off........Elena that didn't sound good at all........rough and no music......glad you got back on another day though

The space where you usually wait for the front was totally open. The way the TM phrased it was that "we are no longer holding the front row spot", not like, we can't accommodate that right now.

I am really hoping someone is going to pipe in soon on this thread and say that they just rode RRR and was able to request the front. I really hope my experience was just with one overwhelmed TM and not like a new rule! Otherwise, I will have to just let people go in front of me and try and time the front right. This will be really hard to figure out though with both EP lines, Single ride, and regular, and hard to know how many people are in one group.....

If parks are crowded and lines long for some rides, they can stop row requests
Been thru that before myself

If what you experienced is now a new policy, I would be surprised if it holds forever

Funny story; the first time we rode it we were going up the stairs and the CM stopped my Wife and asked her to put her hat deeper down in her pocket. It was only one second but the couple behind us pushed by and got in front of us. When we got to loading they were put in the last row and we got the front row of the next car!

He loves RRR and I stay on the ground waiting for him and friends when they get off the ride when I met up with him and his family when I'm the park

That's the one ride I don't do
I think that is because I have seen it break down with riders on it
I would wet my pants if I was stuck on that ride...... Lol

It is the best....ride....ever!! Peeing your pants is just part of the enjoyment!

If Bluer just got back, that means front row requesting is still possible!! Hooray!!!!

I'm meh over it, mainly cause the stories I've heard about the construction, and cause I always find it too rough. I'll ride it only once per trip usually

I can do four maybe five times......but only on front row seats........further back than row 3 and it's a once and done ride........

Both husband and son can do many more times.......doesn't affect them at all!! But they do usually ask for the front every time........

The climb is my favourite part!

Elena, spoke to friends who came back last week after three weeks there and said they got front row seats every time they asked........

Was only through txt message so not sure how busy it was the day's they rode......but they do go to Universal parks a lot while they're there.

Since we have a bunch of RRR fans here - I've never ridden it because it scares the %^&($ out of me just to look at it, especially the beginning.

Hulk and Dueling Dragons are right at the edge of what I can handle, and I enjoy Krakken, once I figured out not to look down. Do you guys think I'd be all right on RRR? Or is it too different to compare?

Sounds like if/when I do ride, I should at least ask for the front half of the train.

If you are good on hulk and dueling dragons you'll like RRR. It's much more tame than the other two.
