No More fishing at Castaway Cay??!!

I just looked over the excurtions on Castaway Cay and discovered that the fishing trip is no longer offered! My DS is SO disapointed! He and DH did it last year and were looking forward to doing it again. Has anyone done any fishing on the Western?

Hello: I called DCL today about bottom fishing at Castaway Cay. I was told that this activity is unavailable at the present time; vendor "problems". However, the DCL rep told me to check for this excursion once we board this Sunday -- 6/29 -- because it may be available again. My suggestion would be to call DCL before your cruise and/or check when you are on the Magic/Wonder. Jan

I received the same information when I called. I guess "the bottom" fell out of THAT shore excursion...

Thanks for the information. At least there is a chance DS and DH can wet a hook!I wondered why they would cancel the fishing. It has always been booked up. I was told because of the size of the fishing boat (max 6 people) that it was one of the most difficult excusions to book. I think I will call DCL 60 days before we sail!
