No more Fantillusion?

My wifes just read another forum and tells me that after the summer season there will be no more Fantillusion so it wont be on at Christmas :confused Ive personally not seen it and it doesnt look like i will ............

Kinda disgusted with this!!! I heard it yesterday and was hoping it wasnt right.
Maybe there will be something better but for now, im gutted

I don't want to believe this! Fantillusion is always one of my highlights.
It'll feel so wrong not seeing it when we go this year.

It's what they had at WDW till mid last year.

Last August I read about Fantillusion being stopped this year and replaced by Spectromagic but it was sort of classed as a rumour.

At the same time I can understand why they are doing it as Fantillusion has been there since 2003 so it's been a while and they changed the MSEP for Fantillusion

Have seen Fantillusion a few times but with a few years in between. We were looking forward to seeing it again in November.

As much as I think change is an inevitable part of Disney I would be sorry to see the end of Fantillusion
I love the transition sequence which make it one of the most dramatic evening parades

It's on for the summer season but from whats on the grapevine is that that will be the last showing and it will not be returning at Christmas

I would personally love spectromagic coming to dlrp as it brings back lots of happy wdw memories but i do understand others comments about it being a little tired

What bothers me is that I suspect Fantillusion won't be running but we won't get a replacement in 2010, instead they'll launch a "new" night time parade as part of the 20th celebrations.
In 2007 we were lucky that we had booked a weekend trip, as I recall that year Fantillusion only ran on the weekends during November, wish I'd kept my old brochures I'd be interested to see if previously it has always been advertised for christmas season.

saddo here has a couple of old brochures in my desk at work - in 2009 winter season it was advertised in the brochure as a "shimmering night time parade"

reading this Christmas' blurb in the new brochure, it doesn't mention anything about Mickeys Winter Wonderland or a castle-lighting ceremony either, so I'm guessing Disney didn't have any in-depth information ready for inclusion in this brochure ? The only things which are mentioned with any certainty in the brochure are the dates of the Christmas season, Santa being in the OUAD parade, and a tree ceremony.
