No More Community Leader Applications Being Accepted Until Further Notice

I was talking to VMK_Annie and I sent her a Private Message asking her if the rumor was true that they were not accepting any more community leader applications until later this year. And the answer was YES it is true. She said that it would probably be later on this year that they would start accepting them again....

Depending on the VMK staff member, they will sometimes briefly allow CL's to be on their friend list.

They can accept only VMK Staff and Community Leaders because we work with them.

Oh, that stinks... They don't want me to be a CL... And I have a clean record. Just got warned once, but that happens to almost everybody lol.

Just to clarify. After also speaking with a staffer today. No new applications are being accepted. That does not mean there will be no new cl's. After all, people on this very board were made cl's after they stopped accepting applications. They have an overabundance of applications to wade through over the next month or two, which is why they closed the flood gates, so to speak. So if you have an application in, then stay tuned. If not, you'll be able to apply once they open up applications again.

if you didn't get a reply saying they aren't taking any more app's then maybe you got in. but it was a couple days ago that i first witnessed someone getting that notification.

check your mail! Oh, and if you use AOL don't expect to hear back,they can't reply to AOL, something's screwy.

exactly azure. Thats what they were saying. A lot of people saw the message the other day and said "wow no new cl's for a couple months" and that is not true at all. Iluv, no you werent too late, but you may not hear anything for another month or two, as they have a good two months worth (at least) to go through still. According to the staffer, they were getting many more applications than they were reviewing and the numbers were growing farther apart every day. So they had to cut off the applications from coming in, so that they can handle most of the ones they already have. Once those are manageable, they will open applications back up.
