I'm so glad my dd's birthday is over. We had cake twice already and I know we will still be having it early next month for her party at MIL's house(since FIL is out of town we are waiting) and then later in the month is MIL birthday and we will have more cake. I just can't seem to escape the cakes. LOL

I'm doing pretty good otherwise and making the best choices I can. I think scaled had crept up a bit from the cake though so I gotta get to my WATP dvd this weekend. I still haven't made it a daily habit which I know is the only way to keep at it. And it takes what 28 days to make a habit or quit one if you have a bad one or two(like me) LOL

I'm with you on the "cake" issue !!
I've delt with SIX birthday parties in the last 2 weeks !! One being mine and also BOTH of my ds's ...as well as nephew. It's hard to resist everytime!!
I'm glad too that it is all over!!

Cake is a major reason I'm kind of glad I'm not working at the moment! It seemed like every single month it was someone's birthday and since I worked in a small office the cake would usually be around for a few days and you know how it is...you can't just let good cake go to waste, you have to eat it!

I love cake. too!! I don’t have to worry about to many birthdays, but weddings are hard too. Then you throw in bridal showers, rehearsal dinners and bachelorette parties and there is a lot of cake and champagne involved. The next wedding I have to go to isn’t till September.

Cakes and sweets can be a big challenge for me too. I actually make party cakes --- really mostly for my family and friends... but I seem to make at least one cake a month -- sometimes more. DD had a b-day last week and I made a strawberry cake (b/c I really only like chocolate cake) -- and that helped soo much! I try to make a rule to only accept it every 4th time a "cake event" comes around... I feel so good about being one of the ones to decline a sweet. It feels like such good will-power... besides, since I've learned to make cakes myself... most store-bought cakes don't compare to my mom's or my recipes (I know that sounds self-centered, but it keeps me able to decline offers for cake!).

My DS birthday was last week. On the 10th. I threw out the rest of his cake last night. He was not going to eat it so I said :wave2: cake. My hips were not going to wear it.
