No more all print package on the Wonder

Just found out you cannot get the all prints photo package on the Wonder only the digital package. I called the mycruise photo department, and they told me they are going to be taking the all print package away from the other ships soon. They did not have a reason as to why. This is horrible. We always get the all print package. Now we have to get the digital package and pay to get them printed. Very pricy.

I can't stand the prints--way too big and I hate the borders. I love the digital files which I use to make a photo book and Christmas cards. But I know we all have different taste.

Get the All Digital package and sign up for an account with Shutterfly. They give you gobs of free prints.

Yeah, we discussed this in an another thread earlier this week. We're not happy about this either as we always purchased the all digital photos + all the prints package. We like the different borders based on where/when the photos were taken. Probably can get the photos printed for the same amount (maybe even less), however, what we find in today's digital photo world is that we (and probably most other people) never end up getting the photos printed. So it was nice to have them already printed.

I fail to understand why they can do USB sticks for the Dream Class but not the Classics.

In January (2017) on the Wonder we ordered several pictures (not a package) and got a USB (8gb) with the pictures on them (less than 10 prints)

Costco 8x10 only $1.79 each I think and 4x6 are $0.17. Not that expensive. Easier to get the USB home than the printed pictures.

And we have had good luck cropping the 8x10's down to 4x6 size (most of the time). We tend to like the 4x6's for our photo album. But we also have a book of 8x10's.

This past weekend we just got them printed at Costco using the USB stick that DCL gave us without any problem.

I would hope they would still print photos, if you ask for it. Especially for those of use who've gotten past the "got to get a photo with every opportunity" stage. We typically only get 1 or 2 photos on a cruise. Getting a USB for 1 photo seems silly.

At the end of January on Magic I got them to print one pic. It was 20 bucks.

I noticed this when I went to prepurchase the photo package for our upcoming Panama Canal cruise. I was hoping that you could still add all the prints once on board. Can anyone who has cruised on the Wonder recently confirm that you absolutely can not get all the pictures added. So sad, even with Costco being fairly inexpensive it really adds up to get them all printed. And it helped off set the huge price that they charge for the digital part.

I'm not surprised but I'm disappointed. Either they are pinching pennies or "saving the environment". A lot of people keep their pics purely digital but it sucks for those of us who wanted all the prints we could get.

If they go the same way as their counterpart on RCCL (both are owned by the same company), they will only print pictures on demand. There won't even be any physical prints to look at, it's all digital.

The cheapest 8x10 is $1.79 at costco. At around 200 to 500 8x10 photos depending on the cruise and 200-300 5-7 pictures. That will add up big time. On our last Panama Canal cruise we have well over 500 pictures. Most 8x10 pictures. With what you are paying for the digital copy of all pictures and now to print them the way disney did. They look funny when you print them all 4x6. That will be very expensive.

If I recall correctly, since the Wonder's drydock they've done away with printing photos and putting it into guest's folders to view. It's the first in the fleet to be done entirely digitally.

Maybe they hadn't been informed that it had changed since the re-imagining. On the Magic a few months ago we got the photos on a CD, but I would imagine that with the huge Shutters overhaul on the Wonder that it would have gone to using USB on that ship.

I haven't cruised since 2014, but you absolutely cannot compare the high-quality, gorgeous prints we purchased on board with prints from Shutterfly, Costco or Walmart! Yes, they're pricey but so worth it. I hope we can choose a few to print on board (if the quality is still the same ). I take way too many pix myself, I'd just like a few favorites professionally printed out with that Disney magic touch.

My digital package from the Magic (debarked Nov 2016) has all the borders.
