No Mets fans in NY?

Just got back from WDW ( check out my trip reports ) - once again a big NY/NJ contingent down at Disney this time of the year. Here's my question - tons of people with their Yankee stuff on - however not one Mets hat, shirt, etc... was seen. Everybody a bandwagon jumper or Mets fans don't like Disney?

My DH is a Mets fan....a very loyal Mets fan. I on the other hand am a Yankees fan, but unfortuneately we haven't been to WDW in a while.

I'm a Mets fan!!

My father was a Brooklyn Dodgers fan, so there is no way his daughter can be a Yankees fan.

Only us second generation Brooklynites can understand that logic.

I've started out as a Mets fan when I was 5 years old (1979), then as I grew up and they started to trade away all the great players I stopped being a baseball fan. Then the year they retired Don Mattingly I became a Yankees fan (was so sad I missed seeing him play - it was just a coincidence). Been a Yankees fan ever since!

My dad's a Mets Fan, me and my brother are Red Sox fans. My dad's side of the family are HUGE Yankees fans and my mom's dad is a Cubs fan.
We got it all in the family....major competition.

I saw many Mets fans at Pac Bell Park where they just "played" the Giants. Of course they were drinking heavily and holding their heads at the time . I saw one "fan" with a paper bag over his head with the words "last place" written on it.

Now I'm a strange one.. I like the Mets AND the Yankees. I didn't know who to root for in the subway series. I'm more likely to wear Yankee gear because it's just "cuter".. the orange and blue just aren't as fun as the navy and white, LOL.

from what I read in the newspaper, the Mets stopped playing about two weeks ago!!


And, by the way dianeschlicht, if your Twins and my Yankees meet in October, will you be coming East?

How about: will you be coming East if I have tix?

It's been a long time since I've been in the HHH-Dome, too!
