We go to Disney every year, this year my dad decided to take the whole family (my sisters and their spouse and children). There are 13 of us in all. We booked 3 rooms at POR but were advised that we could not get the dining plan as well because we used the AAA discount. I have never heard of this. Has anyone else ever heard of this or had this problem? It really doesnt sound right. Last year we had AP's and were unable to use the dining plan. I really have heard great things about the dining plan and it would really help but have yet to be able to use it.

You can generally get a AAA rate and book dining if you book with a AAA Travel Agency. NOT directly with Disney or with a non AAA Travel Agency like the board sponsor. Check the fine print, some of the agencies add on fees or cancellation fees over and above Disney. You don't have to use your local AAA, TA. Some posters have had luck with Michelle. Do a search if you need her phone number.

The only way to get the dining plan and the AAA discount is to book a package directly thru AAA.

Our Decemeber package included the AAA discount and the dining plan. By booking thru AAA, we saved over $600!

We saved about $400 on our upcoming trip for February. We purchased the dining plan and park hopper tickets through them as well as the room.

We booked through AAA as well and got the Dining Plan. We stayed for 8 nights at a AKL deluxe savannah room and got a 15% discount on the room.

We paid $90 per day for the Dining Plan - Two adults ($35) and two children ($10). If I had to estimate, my guess is that our total dining bills ranged from $120.00 - $200.00 per day. The savings with the Dining Plan were fantastic!
