No ME luggage tags

Sigh...I realized two weeks ago that I hadn't received my luggage tags for ME (we leave tomorrow). I called and was told that they would be sent to me prior to my trip. When I called on Monday I was told that they were never printed or sent out but it wouldn't be a problem for them to retrieve my luggage with my claim tickets. Has anyone ever done this before? I'm slightly nervous about letting our luggage spin around and around before someone from ME picks them up. We're getting in around 7 p.m. and have no plans other than to check into our hotel and get something to eat there so I'm not in a big rush to get on the bus. Should I let ME handle it or should I claim my luggage and then go to the ME check-in counter? Also, can someone tell me where the check-in counter is? I seem to remember it is in terminal B on the ground level? Is that correct?

The DME welcome center is indeed in terminal B. They will still pick up your bags wthout luggage tags. I booked a last minute trip and they didn't have time to send me the tags in December but I still got my luggage. When you get to the welcome center you need to go to the desk they will print your bus voucher and ask you to describe your bags, my carry on matches my checked bags so I just show them that and take your baggage claim checks and record them then you get your baggage claim checks back and they send you to a bus. You will get your luggage no problem.

Although we recieved our ME tags, we won't be using them. We arrive at 7:30pm (Thursday) and are going to pick up our bags ourselves before boarding the bus.

Since it can take several hours before your bags arrive, we wanted to make sure we had ours that evening so we could unpack everything (instead of getting our bags late and rummaging through them in the morning). If we were coming in earlier, we probably would have utilized the tags.

So, if I get my luggage myself, I can have the driver unload it at the resort? That might be a better option as we'll be in the same situation also on Thursday! We'll probably be in the ME lines at the same time!
