I had a 1 day trip before a 3 day business meeting. My plan was to do all 4 parks, and to just capture the magic of each park. I had FP at AK for Everest and Safari. In lines and during lunch, I tried for about 10 minutes to get a FOP or Navi with no luck. I went to MK next, and had very little luck with any premium experience. None of the mountains and only 1 or 2 preferred attraction, and it was the very end of the day.

Monorail to EPCOT to end the day around 4:45. No luck with Soarin, Test Track, Frozen, or Illumination. Multiple times to check in and try, but none were available. I was hoping to get lucky as a single and from past posts was expecting some luck.

Still - super fun day and was able to say goodbye to Illuminations.

I world have to refresh a lot longer than 10 minutes for FOP or Navi but others have better luck. I'm sorry you weren't able to get any of the FPs you were looking for.

I was there last week. It requires much more than refreshing for 10 minutes to get any headliners, and it's highly unlikely that you'll get FoP or SDD. What surprised me was how I couldn't get other fun rides after constant refreshing. For example, BTMRR only showed up once for me and it was fairly early in the day and the time for it was an evening time.

We were there from 3/30 to 4/6 and had excellent luck refreshing for 4th and beyond but it does take time. My dd was able to get additional SDFP for Splash, haunted mansion, jungle cruise and Buzz and then was able to grab a FEA at Epcot for later that evening. We had good luck at AK as well with anything except for FOPP available after our orig 3. At the studios she was able to get rnrc as a 4th and then TSMM as a 5th ! We often end the day at Epcot and were always able to get either TT or Soarin as well as the one for FEA.

I think a lot has to do with expectations. If you think you will be able to refresh and get SDD, or FOP, or get a headliner that will allow you to ride within the next couple of hours, especially in the busy afternoons, or refresh for only 10 minutes, then you will be disappointed.

If you are looking for Jungle Cruise, or Pirates, or Haunted Mansion, or Buzz, or IaSW, or Teacups, or Carpets, or Little Mermaid, those have availability all day long, pretty much immediately or soon. Or if you are looking earlier in the day for some for the headliners for another park in the later in the evening, you can often find TSMM, Soarin, Test Track, ToT, RnRC, etc.

BTMR has been much harder this year than last, for me anyway. I used to consider it the easiest mountain to get but not lately.

I agree, I've had difficulty lately securing that one. Space Mountain always seemed to be the hardest for me, and that one is turning out to be rather easy lately. So I don't know haha.

When I'm trying to get a FP for a ride I want and a time pops up I grab it no matter what time it is. It is way easier to modify a ride you already have a FP for than trying for one from scratch. Next time when you see those late times pop up grab it and then modify it to something that actually works for you. I also don't think 10 minutes is very long at trying, it will probably take more effort. It's good to do while you're in line for something or eating a meal.

If they have not updated the park hours yet for the day you go there is still hope. When they extend hours more fastpasses will be added. That is the only way I was able to get FOP last year. Just be on the look out for any extended hours being added and then be quick.
How would they do that on a same day FP for a date that is already in the past?

Did you grab it, so you could modify for an earlier time?
Yes, but eventually had to let it go so I could grab something else that afternoon. I also noticed that BTMRR is a replacement ride when space goes down. Could they pull FPs that have been "let go" out of circulation when this happens, in anticipation of many using their Space FP for BTMRR?

We were at Animal Kingdom yesterday. Bought APs at the gate. I was able to get a FastPass+ for both Kilimanjaro and FOP while in the park. The safari was pretty easy, but FOP took a lot more time than 10 minutes. I eventually booked a FPP for EE, even though we ride it multiple times with no wait during ROL. I was literally steps from boarding the safari when I refreshed and FOP came up in my EE window. I switched immediately. It takes perseverance but it is possible, even during spring break.

I was having a great time, so no worries on my luck. I was actually trying as 'research' to see if it was possible. Yeah - it was all for 'research'

We did EMM at HS yesterday. We were able everything but the Frozen sure sing-along and we were done by 2:00. Got a Test Track FP for 4:45 and headed to Epcot. Grabbed an 8:10 FP for Soarin’ while in line for TT and modified it to 7:35. Shortly after finishing TT, the skies opened up and the park cleared out. By the time we reached The Land, Soarin’ was walk-on.
