No luck at BWV - Booked AKV Kidani

As our 7 month booking window approached, I asked my DD(6) where she wanted to stay for our trip this coming October, and she said the boardwalk. I was surprised because she loved the animals at AKV on our last trip.

I figured BWV's would be tough with the F&W Fest, although we did get a week at the 7 month window in 2006. Only two or our days were open (looking for a 1 bedroom Standard view). Rather than move around, I went with her second choice which was AKV. Thought about trying BLT's, but we have borrowed some points the past few years, and did not want to knock ourselves to far in the hole.

So - AKV it is this October - I am pretty excited. I think we will definitely do BOMA again, and our other "night out" is up for debate. I am voting for Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge, not sure what the wife is thinking of. We usually do two nice dinner nights.

Cant wish the time away, but really looking forward to our next WDW Vacation

Same here, tried to book a studio BWV for a weekend on October, no luck. So I got AKV instead, and put my name on the waitlist for BWV. I'd fine with either place, but never stayed at BWV so just want to try it.

This past Thursday (3/11), my wife and I decided to extend our Food & Wine trip from 7 to 9 days. We wanted to add a BWV studio for the nights of 10/7 and 10/8, but none was available. We happily booked an SSR studio and wait listed for a BWV garden/pool studio. On Sunday night (3/14) I checked our account on the DVC website and noticed that our BWV wait list had come through! Maybe your wait list will come through really quickly, too. Good luck!!!

I thought about trying the waitlist, but honestly my daughter just enjoys being at the boardwalk at night for the magicians and shows, she gets a kick out of it. We rent a car on vacation, and we always make sure to spend one night over at the Boardwalk, so as long as we do that, she will be happy. I honestly don't think the actual hotel means much to her at 6 years old.

We had AKV studio booked for Oct. 4,5,6,and 7 and today I called and was able to get BW studio preferred or pool view for the same dates. When I called I was calling for BC but none available and the CM said there is one room at BW, so I took it. We wanted to be near F & W so we could just walk over at nite. It is only DH and I so we mainly do the pool and Epcot at nite. I don't know anything about BW any help would be appreciated.

WOHOO!! I got my studio at BWV!!! I checked DVCMEMBERS site and my October reservation has changed from AKL value studio to BWV standard studio!! Now what should I request to get the best view??

We just cancelled our Boardwalk view studio last week for the last week in October. I hope that helps someone!

It almost killed me to cancel it - but we decided to go for 10 days over our Anniversary in May 2011 and needed the points!

Whoever gets it - have a drink for us!
