No loose articles allowed on ride

I have a question about rides that say "No loose articles allowed".

I have eyeglasses and if I take them off I am basically blind, or at least everything is a huge blur. On the Men in Black ride you are supposed to be shooting things. If I have to take my glasses off I won't be able to see anything.

Do these "loose articles" include glasses?

Both my DH and DS wear prescription glasses and never took them off. They never mentioned feeling that they were going to get lost on the ride.

My DW and DS wear glasses with no issues. I also wear my Oakley's with no issues.

DS lost his glasses once on the Mummy ride. It shoots backward and somehow they flew off. Maybe they were loose anyway but he has learned to hold them in that part.

He's had no issues anywhere else.

Just to clarify - on RRR and Hulk you can't wear glasses now unless they have a croakie/strap?

It was about two years ago, but at RRR they were especially insistent that she show that they were strapped on. Hulk one time was as insistent while the other time they weren't. I remember because we still joke about it. YMMV

We didn't ride hulk but we did ride RRR twice in December and neither my son or husband had any croakies on their glasses.

Just rode Hulk last month, wearing my glasses, no strap.

We had the same experience for both Hulk and RRR in September. No one asked to see any strap for the glasses. They wouldn't let us wear waist packs, though.

The attendant didn't direct me to do so, but did recommend that I take my glasses off for Mummy. I put them in my picket under the outer jacket (it was 50 deg. F that day) I was wearing and was glad he told me. That ride is intense, I thought I was going to fly out on that big drop.

I primarily wear glasses, but wear contacts at the parks. So although I did not risk losing my glasses, I do know what motions might make then fall off.
Both of these rides are considerably more "turbulent" than anything at Disney, and a strap for glasses would certainly be a good idea.
