No longer need to check in before parks!

Sometimes, it doesn't work the way it should. If that happens, you'll need to go to the front desk when you get to GF. But Guest Services at the park will be able to help with your tickets, and you can deal with the resort later, should that be the case.

That's what I was told when I called. Thank you.

I'm not quite understanding your confusion. Guest Services is not the front desk. If they told you just go to Guest Services when you called, then they were telling you that you didn't need to visit the front desk at the Grand. Guest Services booths are located outside the front gates of all the parks. Outside MK, it's immediately to the right (east) of the tapstyles.

The confusion is so many people in this site say you don't need to do anything as well as the email I received from Disney. And we know how often CMs give inaccurate info. I trust the folks here more. See next post.

Doesn't anything about going to guests services here. Now that's a little confusing to me.

Sounds like you want to use your package tickets the morning of your check-in day for the package, so you should be good...and if there is any issue at the turnstyles at the park, you have guest services right there at the entrance to the park to sort you out.

The email is probably triggered by only one of your reservations, so it wouldn't mention guest services. We only mention guest services because you have two reservations and may have wanted to do something unusual...which would be using your package tickets before your package begins. But you don't...so don't worry about it. (I hope that make sense...I'm a bit short on sleep.)

Op, that email doesn't apply to your situation as a split-stay guest wanting to activate tickets early from a package, so I'd disregard it...

Yes, you can go straight to the parks, however, your tickets are attached to your package. Therefore in order to use packaged tickets early, they have to be activated on your bands at any Guest Relation booth outside the parks or Disney Springs.

The OP doesn't want to access the tickets early. They don't want to use them till check in day on their package.

This thread (and some of the posts) obviously had me confused. Anywho, backing out now...:tiptoe:

:headache: Sorry but now I am all kinds of confused !

We would like to go straight to a park after arriving in Orlando for our stay on a package that includes tickets. We do not plan to go to our hotel until later in the day so not concerned about the room ready text. Luggage will remain in the car.

Will the online check in procedure activate our tickets for park admission or should I plan on a guest services stop at our park of choice?

Thanks for clearing this up for me.

You'll be fine. The only time anything needs to be done special or different is if you have a package and want to use those tickets prior to the day you check in. Then something needs to be done to make them accessible.

As the OP, I'm confused at how many people are so confused about the original post! LOL.
The original post could be taken the wrong way but I did clearify exactly my question. At any rate, as long as we can duck over to guest services to make things right I am still avoiding extra travel to GF. Thanks all. I'll let you know how it all works out in a few days.

What do I do if I skip the front desk for parking at the parks. I won't have that paper in the folder
