Wow! What a trip you all have planned. So wish that we would be there with all of you but our December trip isn't until later in the month. Getting to BLT on the 24th! Where better to spend Christmas Eve.

I hope you all have an absolute blast and I can't wait to read all about it. I have been a fan of this thread since the beginning and was starting to tear up thinking it is coming to an end. I start my day with this thread and usually end my night with this thread.

Barb, your dedication to this thread has been outstanding! I can't imagine the time it takes to keep it up. So, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing this this past year.

Hi Disers. Barb asked me to share that her and her family are safe following the horrible storms that affected their part of the state. She has no power and her cell is on its last bar for her battery. She will be back here when she is able. Sending prayers to those affected.

I'm with you as are a lot of people that follow this thread. Thankfully, all appears to be ok with her and her family.

To clarify the message that I received earlier from Barb. "We are all fine but it could be awhile before I can receive and post any updates."

To the current live reports - thanks for standing by! Once Barb has power she may still need a little time to get back up and running.

Hi All! I'm Jill My family and I will be live reporting from the World November 25th-December 2nd. I can't wait! It's myself, my DH Rick, and our boys Andrew is 8 and Declan is 6. Here's a picture from our last WDW vacation in 2010. The boys were 5 and 2 here.

I received an update from Barb that I am passing on.

Power has been restored where she lives but there are still some issues to deal with. She hopes to be back with updates tonight or tomorrow. Live reporters can continue to send updates.

I'm grateful that her and her family are ok. Her dedication to this thread shows in her desire to get back here as quickly as possible.

Hello everyone! I'll try to get a few updates posted tonight, but first I want to thank everyone for their texts, emails, and posts here on the thread. To be honest, being without power yesterday I didn't realize the extent of the storm damage in this area. After seeing the newspaper this morning and watching the news on t.v., I was shocked. The minimal property damage which my family sustained and yesterday's power outage was merely a minor inconvenience and absolutely nothing in comparison to what others have experienced in nearby towns. My heart goes out to them.

First up are the final updates received on Saturday from mousegear, the first of which was a two-part report from the Universal Studios resort.



She said, "We had a 12:00 noon reservation at...


Lombard's Seafood Grill


"It felt like we were walking into a San Francisco restaurant. It was also decorated for Christmas."









"DS ordered their Cookies and Cream Milk Shake...



"He let me have a sip and it was yummy!"



"The bread and butter...








"Nothing special."




"I ordered the San Francisco Stir Fry: Asian Chicken Noodles that came with an egg roll which DS ate."






"DS ordered from the appetizers...



...Calamari, which was good also."



"DH ordered Fried Shrimp with Waffle Fries, which was also good."






"It was nice to sit down. The price was actually not that much more than a fast food place at the park. Our waiter was efficient and very knowledgeable on the menu. We will definitely return when we visit Universal Studios."

Next was this snack update...


"DS got this Souvenir Popcorn Bucket...



"It was around $5.50 and refills are $.99. We had it refilled several times during our 3 day stay and was totally worth getting the bucket."​

mousegear continued, "We did every ride by 1:00 pm and went back to Portofino to rest before our drive back to Disney once again. I really wanted to see the Osborne Lights since this year is the last year before they do some kind of expansion at DHS."











"This was the first night they did the Osborne Lights and it was very, very crowded and took forever to park and walk into the section. However, it was definitely worth it."


"We did Star Tours on our way out and debated what we wanted to eat for dinner. We decided to visit the Poly one more time."









"Both DS and DH got an Aloha Pork Sandwich, which they claimed was good but huge."





"I got the Pork Nachos...



"This was very good and huge in portion as well. DS, after tasting my nachos, volunteered to help finish them."



"I was full but could not pass the pineapple dole whip...








...and DS also got a strawberry fruit bar (which I don't have a picture)."​
