Just days from eating there and just checked the menu and I don’t see Lobster anymore.

Am I not seeing it?
Or did they change the menu? If so, when did they change the menu?

So upset. Not sure if we should eat there after all.

Any other place to try for Lobsters?

Thx.

Narcossee has really good lobster. Flying Fish is not bad either.

So it’s true. No lobster at California Grill.

When did this happen?

Menus change. It happens so tough to be upset with Disney over that. If you're fixated on Lobster you should have booked a restaurant featuring it more prominently. Narcoossee's, Boathouse and Yachtsman as mentioned previously come to mind.

Looks like they have a lobster roll. I don't recall Cali Grill ever having whole lobsters if that's what you're looking for. If you really want lobster, I would head over to the Boathouse!

Menus at the signature restaurants change more often than the offerings at the regular table service restaurants so unfortunately it is not surprising that the menu has changed since last winter. It is disappointing when you have your heart set on something and it's no longer there, but we've found that chefs at the signatures like to be creative so they'll change up the menu frequently.

Check the menus of the restaurants that are more focused on seafood - Narcoossee's, The Boathouse, Paddlefish, Todd English's Blue Zoo at the Dolphin, Flying Fish and Yachtsman are all options.

Cali Grill changes its menu every season based on what is in season. I go a few times a year and the only time I remember lobster being on the menu was being on the sushi menu.

I believe they had a Lobster Ramen when I was there in April. The table next to us ordered it and I remember the sounds coming from the table as the devoured it. Think of a slightly milder version of the Deli scene in when Harry met Sally.

I like the butter poached lobster at Narcoossee. Check that one out if CG menu is no longer what you want.

Having gone to CG, every trip, four times per year, about 6 years?

NO. The CG is WONDERFUL.... but this is not a place for Lobster.

Now - I have no idea if you are using DDP or not...

1) DDP - Narcoossee's. About the best you can get, with DDP.
2) BEST LOBSTER - Shula's, Dolphin. No DDP, TIW accepted. Sized SERIOUSLY.

Try Maine.

I am from CT and we have darn good lobster available. I usually don't like it. One bite is enough. Narcoossee butter poached is so much like the lobster in a lobster roll. TEnder and juicy bathes in butter.

I’m from MA and Maine Lobster is better.
But you don’t like it. I don’t like that type of lobster roll. I like lobster meat, a little celery nd a smidgen of mayo. So good

Ahh the great Lobster Roll debate. I grew up on the Mass coast and when you ordered a Lobster Roll it was always cold with mayo. That's all I knew. Then about 15 years ago I spent a weekend on Block Island with some friends from CT. Experienced a warm Lobster roll sauteed in butter on a warm toasted roll. I haven't had a cold one since.

LOL! Nope....no mayo. For me, that is lobster salad.

Now that is a lobster roll!

My husband had the worst lobster ever at Yachtsman so I wouldn’t recommend that. Lol! Shula’s has good lobster. Flying Fish ehhh. We haven’t had lobster to Nacossee’s

Thanks for the info.

I was at California Grille and year earlier and had the lobster. Same season. It was why we were returning. We were not able to get ADR for Narcoossee or any other place with lobster so close to the date. We kept the ADR at California Grille. It was good with great views but the lobster was missed. Last year California Grill and Naricoosee had lobster on the menu. Both were great. This year we only choice one 2-credit place. I guess I didn't have the luck with the one that kept lobster,
