No Kids! :)

DH and I are going for 4 nights this Feb to celebrate 20 years married. The first time in 15 years with out children!
Now where do we eat, now that kids meals are not a factor?

I know I can count on you all! Any romantic ideas?

Will you be on the dining plan? Victoria & Albert's (never been but no kids under 10-I think allowed) O'hana is nice-or go check out the Hoop De Do Revue or Spirit of Aloha (my kids didn't like the food there & I didn't want to waste 2 meals if they wouldn't eat!) I'm sure there are many other places-we go with kids so we try to do family places-few years before we hit 20 to do it alone! Congrats on the celebration -don't have too much fun you might not want to take the kids along next time!!!!

Last year DH and I had a night out by ourselves and we dined at California Grill.............it was the best meal we ever had at Disney!

1) Most eateries at WDW are not romantic, due to kids.
2) My recommendations are
. . . V&A - at Grand Floridian
. . . Shula's - at Dolphin
. . . Bistro de Paris - at Epcot, France, upstairs

NOTE1: Although kids are allowed at Bistro, they are highly discouraged. There are no kids' menu's, so kids don't eat cheaply. They are not on DDP, so you don't the folks looking to eat at places above their level.

NOTE2: Citricos at GF used to be romantic. But, since they take DDP, they get a lot of families with kids that do not know how to behave in upscale restaurants. Also, there have been A LOT of complaints that the eatery allows kids to disrupt the restaurant without getting the parents to tone them down.

My hubby and I did a trip kidlet free and had the best time with great food!! Our recommendations would be: 1. Caliafornia Grill (request a window seat) during Wishes 2. Victoria & Alberts 3. Jiko's 4. Le Cellier 5. San Angel

our romantic spots will be for our disney wedding and honeymoon: Narcoosse and eating in the castle (we picked a real late ADR so hopefully it wont be packed w/ kids). We also rent the 'mouse' boat which you get a coupon for w/ your MYW package. It is romantic to be out on the water just the two of you. You could also book a cruise during the fireworks. You could also go for a carriage ride at Fort Wilderness or go horseback riding. Stay out really late for extra magic hours, it's romantic when it's nightime and the park is pretty much empty. have a great time!

Congratulations on your 20 years. My wife and I are heading for our first trip alone since our honeymoon 18 years ago. We are going November 6th through the 11th. Our ADR's are for California Grill (our favorite WDW restaraunt so far), Chefs de France (I can taste the lamb shank already), Narcoosees (this will be our first visit here and we can't wait), breakfast at Crystal Palace on checkout day, and plans to spend a lot of time at the Food and Wine Festival.

Congratulations on 20 years!!!

Great suggestions about dining! Have a blast planning your meals! DDP makes mealtime more enjoyable, since there are no worries about the bill.

It is Disney and there will be children there. You don't have to worry about them for one minute. Neither will we! I can't wait!

My husband and I love having dinner at Il Mulino's in the Swan and Shula's Steakhouse at the Dolphin. Shula's does not have a children's menu.

Romantic for me would be the restaurants not on the dining plan which are more intimate with a better variety of food. So for me that would be V&A, Bistro and bluezoo. I also enjoyed sitting outside at Portabello Yacht Club for a relaxing lunch on the water.

Don't overlook Artist Point at WL. DH and I ate (and drank) there in Dec '07 without DS! There were kids in the restaurant but they were really well-behaved. It was a nice "grown-up" meal!

Tutto Italia, Chefs de France, Yachtsman, Grand Floridian Cafe...these places did not seem to be loaded with people and the food at all 4 was amazing
