No internet is like going "cold turkey"

I never knew how much I enjoyed ("needed"?) my internet connection. I didn't have to work on Thursday or Friday & we had no internet at home either day. It took until my husband (a computer programmer) came home this evening (Friday) to get us connected. Never mind that I made SIX phone calls to tech support - must have been to Pakistan - kept getting conflicting stories about internet outages near us...must be our router....to who knows what else. No two stories were the same and they all had the same accent - & a little hard to understand. (funny how they all had "American" names!)

OK - rant over - I need to go to bed - but first take some advil and use my mouth guard tonight (I can feel my teeth clenching!!)

I know what you mean! I feel like my outside connection to the world has been cut off when the internet doesn't work....!

Oh, and I think they are all in India....that is what I have reed.......that they are all educated and their time zone covers our nights perfectly......and of course it is cheaper...alot of companies are doing this now.

Glad "your computer guy" was able to fix it!

For us it's not so much that the system is "down" but the HASSLE you have to go through to get the problem resolved. Customer service is horrible when your hardware or software doesn't work. You can be thankful DH could fix it for you. Most of us are at the mercy of the "voice at the other end"....
