no fridge in poly rooms?what???

Why is there no fridge in a delux room? That is one reason why I booked a delux so little one can store milk. What is the deal?

we loved the poly, we thought our one trip to disney would be last year, we had such a wonderful time beyond words, we booked concierge this time w/ the poly. I hope you have a magical time too.

It is my understanding that the Poly is the only deluxe that Disney did not put the refrigerator in every room (like all of the other deluxe and moderate resorts.) You do have to request that they bring it to you, but there is no charge.

Since a refrigerator is included in the new design for the Polynesian rooms, it makes sense to me that the resort didn't buy hundreds of other refrigerators before the new decor is installed.

We've stayed at the Polynesian for years and have insulin for my husband and son. They usually bring the fridge pronto.

After the new rehabs are done at the Polynesian all the rooms will have a frigerator build in between the closest with a nice vanity area above for the coffee maker.

Just to prepare you: the Polynesian is "that price" mainly due to it's location, not it's amenities. While we love it, and love the theme, etc. many folks find it doesn't fit their idea of what a "deluxe" hotel room should be for those prices. I think the new room upgrade will help that....unfortunately, it still won't have a hot tub though! (I don't care for public hot tubs, but I know people on this board have mentioned they feel that's another amenity that is lacking at the Poly)

I wondered the same thing in April! $467/night and NO FRIDGE? I guess we should have asked! We also love the Poly and the location couldn't be better. The room was disappointing and hearing every room all around us take showers really bugged me. After our stay at the Poly, we bought DVC!!! Now we can have a washer/dryer and full kitchen!
