No Free Dining

I booked free dining for a trip at the end of August. If I change the dates around (arrive and leave one day earlier), will I still get free dining?

So on the phone and on the online chat help on the Disney website - they told me there was no free dining for 2011!

We decided to book with the room discount and get the dining plan.

Is no free dining something they always say or could that be true?

I know free dining is a love/hate thing- was surprised the stopped it.

CM are wrong again I received a FD pin in my e-mail today for July and August

And I have found it also depends on which resort your staying in.

That's a great point because no matter what resort category you select with Free Dinng you are paying the rack rate, so that is catch with Free Dining. So I would say if someone wanted Free Dining and to stay at one of the Deluxe Resorts, chances are that's not a good deal since you pay the rack rate over there.

I keep reading that the CMs on the phone at the reservation line cannot make these changes - that you must ask them for Guest Services. Apparently they can make the change and keep your free dining package!
