TouringPlans indicates that I will not need to use FP+ for my day at AK on December 17th. We have an 8AM Tusker ADR and want to ride everything multiple times. Can this be accurate? How should I manage my FP+ choices for that day if they really are not needed?

Are you park hopping? if not, it won't hurt you to have FPs for some faves.

Since FP+, touring plans isn't so great for making plans.

My advice is to make a plan using the cheat sheets at easywdw.com, taking out anything that doesn't appeal to you. Once you have a plan, put it into the touring plans generator and push evaluate - do not push optimize.

If you want to ride safari multiple times I would think you'd want a fp. If you can do single rider at Everest you're probably ok there. I liked having one for FOTLK, but certainly didn't need it

NO WAY would I go wo FP+! I am just back and wait times were ridiculous by 11:00 am! 90 minutes for Kali!!!

Kali lines are brutal in the summer. I would not waste a FP+ on it in December.

OP - We used FP+ for Safari, EE, and the Mickey/Minnie meet n greet on our December trip. Mickey and Minnie are in their holiday gear and it's a great photo op and the line moves very slowly.

Definitely check out easywdw.com for the cheat sheets to give you an idea of what to expect. We used the cheat sheets to help us customize our own touring plans. The advice is spot on

When we go in late September, FP is unnecessary at AK. The crowds are relatively low that time of year so it all definitely depends on when you are going.

If I recall, the TP optimizer only allows you to tour the attractions you want 1 time. If you are seeking to acquire MULTIPLE experiences of the same attraction, then I would HIGHLY/STRONGLY/INSIST that you acquire FPs.

Do you plan to use hoppers? If so you could make FP+ plans for the later park and hit the popular rides at MK early. I don't know about multiple rides though.

That time of year is usually not too crowded so I could see going with no FP+ reservations but really only if you are parkhopping. I could see making FP+ reservations at your evening park and using standby for AK when the crowds are lower. This is especially true if you are going to DHS as the second park that day and want to get on TSMM.
