During our recent trip to WDW, we noticed helicopters flying over Magic Kingdom on more than one occasion. I thought that WDW was a "no-fly zone." This happened during the week of October 7th. Does anyone have any intel? Just curious. Thanks!

Only parts of the property are a no fly zone. It’s essentially a 3 mile radius that covers Magic Kingdom and part of Epcot. Helicopters frequently fly over Studios and the non restricted portion of Epcot. And it is possible to obtain clearance to breach the no fly zone. The restriction is also for below 3,000 ft.

And sometimes planes and helicopters can get quick passover clearance even int he restricted area.
