Hey gang! We're Disney vets with kids that are finally getting old enough that we are ready to try Universal. The web site implys that fast pass (or whatever their version is called) is only available to resort guests. Is this true? We're DVC members and will most likely never stay off WDW property in Orlando. It would make a big difference to our Universal planning if we couldn't use fast pass.

Thanks!

What I do is spend one night at Univesral (Royal Pacific). You check in early
before 9:00, they hold your luggage (we just take minimal for one night. They will give you your room keys which is front of the line pass. Off to the parks by 9:00 then spend the whole next day at the other park. 1 night but fotl the whole time for entire day of checking in and entire day of checking out. We usually do Universal 1st day since it takes longer and then IOA second day since we can get out of there by 4:00 then we go to Disney or off site villa where we spend the rest of our vacation. Totally worth it to not have to spend more than 10 minutes in a line whenever you choose and to ride over and over till your hearts desire. Also don't have to deal with driving to the parks for those two days. Nice little walk along canal or water taxi. try it and you won't be sorry. We are always so spoiled going there first and then having to wait in the Dis lines. :wizard:

It shouldn't make a difference. If you tour smart you don't need Express.

Try this site:

Go here:

http://www.univacations.com//events/index.asp

Click on the "Buy Tickets" tab which is at the top of the page on the right hand portion.

It will take you to a new page, where you then click on the map for Orlando.

When you get to the next page, you click on "1 Park Express" or "2 Park Express" for dates and prices.

Here is a direct link to one park express: http://secure.universalstudios.com/...goryGroup=UOMain&SalesCategory=UO1ParkUEPLive

And here is the direct link to the two park express:
http://secure.universalstudios.com/...goryGroup=UOMain&SalesCategory=UO2ParkUEPLive

Because it is a secure site, the direct links might not work and might time out for security reasons.

What I would do is just arrive before opening and you will get everything done no problem. The rides at Universal are different at Disney because they tend to be longer, with a higher capacity. There aren't a lot of rides that are only 3 minutes (except the roller coasters and they move a lot of people through these very quickly). If you get to the park before opening, do all the major rides first, you will have plenty of time to do the other attractions later.

I tried it out and it works. Make sure that when you choose your date, it is highlighted in gold on the calendar. Different dates are different prices.

For your dates, the tickets you need are the $35 ones. Make sure you fill in the date and then fill in how many passes you need underneath that.

It should work.
