We arrived to the resort late after a very long drive to get there. We checked in and unloaded. Very hungry, we went to the one place on property I knew I could get a good salad and that would be open later, in fact it was always open until midnight, at least. In our annual visits for the past 23 years, my daughter and I would trek there if we weren't staying at that resort that year to get a meal or late snack. Well, this time, at 10:04 pm, I was greeted with a "Sorry we're closed." I called guest services to ask where on property we could find something to eat and the answer was that they could give us the number to have outside pizza delivered or we could go to the Speedway gas station.
Eat early. Have food or snacks on hand in your room. The gift shops are closing earlier and the quick serve places that are in service now are not staying open late. In fact, check against all posted hours with a phone call.
Google hours for a place we went to get take out at Disney Springs were incorrect, too.
Don't expect the same services, hours of service, levels of service now for anything and plan ahead. I was mentally unprepared for the changes even though we were told there were changes. You are still paying a lot of money to go to the place we all love, which isn't able to operate as much like the place we all love.
