I'm such a mean friend but....

My college housemate used to temp at the same place I still work. She text me last night and asked if I could call up someone in HR and ask them how she would get a tax-rebate.
Why can't she call them herself? Maybe I'm just being grumpy but what am I supposed to do, call and say 'hi....my friend wants to know....'????
I don't see her logic. I may be at work but I'm not even in the same building as the person she needs to contact. I don't see why she can't call them, she has the number....
I'm probably just being mean but I think she's being lazy or trying to save her phone bill by getting me to call! I'm not her mother or her secretary for goodness sake! Ok vent over.....

Text back and tell her that HR needs to speak with her directly and cannot give out her information to a 3d party. You can do her the favor of providing the direct dial #.

Grow up to your friend. She is an adult and needs to take care of these problems herself.

I have a friend that is 41 and still can't make phone calls like this, makes her DH do them all. She can't even call for a T-time at the golf course. She will call me and ask me to make the t-time because she is "too busy" to call. Making the t-time would have taken LESS time then calling me to do that.
