Well, this is the first year we haven't gone to disney in awhile, boy is it depressing. We decided as a family to do a different vacation. I am so very excited about our vacation, but deep down miss disney. I am already thinking about when we get back to start planning for August 2005. I will need all the new information that I have been missing. Can't wait to start reading all the new threads.::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

You'll enjoy Disney all the more next time you go. What are you doing this year instead?

I'm sure you'll miss Disney but you will most likely love your cruise. My SIL just went on a Carnival Western Caribbean cruise (Triumph). They had a wonderful time and can't wait to do it again.

Have a great vacation!!

We went in Sept. 2002 and 2004. We did not go this year. My husband refused to go. We went to visit my Mother in Law in Harrisburg, PA instead. Oh well, we'll have a great trip next year. He'll have to go then, the kids are asking to go already!

:bounce:

Get your countdown timer going, it will be here before you know it. And enjoy that cruise.

This is the first sunner in four years that we are not going. I really miss it. The good side is that there should be several new attractions to see when we do go. I'm really anxious to see Wishes!!

I know exactly how you feel. We skipped Disney this year also. We went on an Alaskan cruise in June and now am planning for Disney next August.

I really miss Disney but it was nice to see something different. I think Disney is going to become an every other year vacation. I would like to do Hawaii in 2006.

Welcome to my last year, this year, and many future years to come! Unless that powerball ticket comes through, there won't be any trips to disney for a long time to come.....which is fine, I'm glad we've gotten to go as much as we have and have collected so many fantastic memories!

 I know how you feel! We've been to WDW every year since we married in 2000 except this year. Last time we went was March 2003 and we won't be back until December 2005. We decided not to go this because DS (13 months) is just too young right now, IMO. We were going to go in May 2005 to celebrate DH's graduation, but that got pushed back to December 2005 so we're waiting until then to go. I'm really looking forward to going back during Christmas, but it's sooooo hard to not go for this long! And to make matters worse...one person I work with went in March, another for Easter and another is leaving tommorrow and going again in December. *sigh*

Maybe I should put a countdown for December 2005..give me something to look forward too!

Enjoy your cruise!! It may not be WDW, but it still sounds like a GREAT vacation!

I feel your pain too! We have gone 2x per year for about 6 years and just felt it was time for a break. Our last trip was in December, so it has only been 8 months...but I miss it!!! And, my girls miss it - they keep asking "when are we going back?".

Instead this year we took a 5 day cruise in April and we are headed to Disney's Hilton Head Island resort at the end of the month (we are DVC members). At least I will get to see some hidden Mickeys and get a touch of that Disney feeling.

Mic&min--Hawaii is awesome. You will love it there. I got the idiots guide to Hawaii and it broke everything down for me so it wasnt to overwhelming.

Thanks 4greatboys for the info. I will have to pick up that book and start reading up.

My 13 year old daughter will be going to Hawaii next July with her choir group so I am sure she will have alot to share with me for our 2006 trip.
:jumping1: :cheer2: :cheer2: :

My husband is in local politics and last year was an election year for Mayor (my DH is a campaign manager) so we could not take a vacation either and it was horrible not being able to go to WDW. But like you, I planned for this year and we leave in just 2 weeks! The planning helps you get through it and so do these boards. In fact we are going for even longer this year since I was so deprived last year.
