I just have to tell everyone, because I am so excited about decisions that my husband and I have made this past week.

I have completed 2 semesters towards my bachelors in psychology and only have 2 1/2 left to go (I already had enough credits from community college for 2 accosiates haha so I have to take are my core classes) but because of finances I didn't get to take classes this past semester like originally planned. DH and I have been really bummed because we didn't know when I was going to be able to finishing meaning I'm not going to be able to get a better job until I do. Anywhoo... my parents came to us this week and offered to pay for my school with the understand that we would pay them back after I got a better job when I finished school. Dh and I talked about it, and agreed it was the best choice as we can't afford a loan right now. I am super excited because i am so close to being finished, but we just couldn't afford it. Unfortunatly we had been planning on going to disney in decemeber 2011, and because i will just be finishing school, and at this point we don't forsee us having the extra money, we have decided we will wait until dec 2012 to go to disney again. Unfortunatly I will have to live disney through ya'll TR for now, but it will be so worth it in the end. I am so excited, I can't even say I'm upset we aren't going to disney next year... yea yea I know Dh had a heart attack too :rotfl: Fortunatly Dh and said we can stay deluxe when we go in 2012!!! So I have to say that's definetly worth waiting for!!!!

Congrats!! And just think, when you do go back, you'll have an awesome reason to celebrate!

why not wait until 2013 and the new Fantasyland will be ready? Stroll on over from the Contemporary...:thumbsup2

Congrats! That's great news!

I am in a similar situation. I am getting my teaching certification and trying to finish before my state Dept of Edu makes some changes to their requirements. After much thought, we decided it's better for me to try to take some summer classes and finish my certification rather than do Disney this summer.

I am bummed about that, but know that landing a teaching job means LOTS more Disney trips in our future!

That would be awesome, but I really don't know if I can wait that long. Why not do both?!?! hahaha We'll see that the hubs says about that one lol

Doesn't it feel so wonderful to make that kind of decision? It's a hard one to make, but so exciting once it's decided on!! Good luck to you , and I on the same boat for LOTS more trips!!

OP, I'm assuming you meant "associates"?? :rotfl:

Yes... sorry... I was probubly shivering so bad didn't notice. It's 20 degrees here, and we ran out of propane... ugh... and those with experience know, once you get used to gas logs for heat, the heat pump just doesn't cut it, the thermostat says 70, but I think its about 50 lol

Actually the bulk of the fantasyland expansion is supposed to open in 2012 with the exception of pixie hollow which is supposed to open in 2013.

Ever heard the expression when it rains it pours??? I have been trying to lose weight for sometime now, and I lose and little gain a little lose a little more, well you get the picture. I have always said that I want to run a disney marathon, and Dh had told me that when I reach my goal I can register for a disney marathon. Well last night we were talking about disney and be going back to school, and he mentioned that a disney trip would be a good graduation present and we have plenty of time to save up for it, and my parents are planning to transfer their RCI timeshare so that would cut the cost in half. He thinks it would be doable. I told him, at this point I'd rather not, because I'm scared I will be to distrated, and we were planning on going the first week on december and that would be the week before finals, and I definetly don't want to go on a big trip before finals, one I don't think I would enjoy it because of the fact that finals are the week when I get home, and 2 because I will be super stressed when I get home. Anywhoo... he made the deal that if I lose my weight and get into shape, we can go for an extended weekend to disney for a marathon, and we can also go in december for Christmas... SERIOUSLY!!!! Disney twice in one year :cool1::woohoo::yay: Needless to say I am SUPER EXCITED!!!! and I definetly need to get my rear end into gear!!! Has anyone else done a marathon at disney? What did you think about it, would you do it again??

not to be a killjoy, but where does repayment of mom and dad come into play. If you have money to play at disney you have money to repay the school loan first and then have your fun. Everything in due time.

I appreciate your concern, but trust me I will repay my mom dad first and foremost, and to be quite honest, it is none of your concern, not to be rude, but this is not you place.

I think the whole shabang sounds better than half... darn I guess we might have to go 2 years in a row lol
