No Disney Livestream fireworks

I tried going to the Disney Parks Blog website to see the live stream of the July 4 fireworks only to get internal server error 500, we are working to fix this. I guess no Disney fireworks for me. Anyone else get the same?

I've seen some reports of people getting the error message but luckily you didn't miss anything. The livestream was a hot mess.

Server error for me as well. That was a bit of a fail. I have a hard time grasping why a company with their budget seems to struggle with their web tech (and I'm a web developer....)

We watched on YouTube live with nice problems at all. Nothing like being there, but better than nothing!

I didn't go looking for it but while scrolling through Facebook I saw the live stream on there from the Disney blog with no problem

I was able to watch it from the DP Blog without any real issue but the superimposing of the wide shot with Main Street was kinda weird. Not bad, just noticeable.

Couldn't find the live stream on YT while searching via the YT app on our PS3. All that came up were the archived streams. We ended up crowding around a tablet. Funny thing was that I had no issues finding the Music of Pixar live stream on YT a few days earlier.

I started the livestream from the DPB post a few minutes early on my phone and touched the watch later icon. This made it easier to find on the YouTube app on my TV.

I agree that this production was a mess. The hostess at the beginning was delivering her lines like an auctioneer. That made for a stressful experience because you were wondering why she was doing that. It was the basic mistake of trying to cram too much info into too short a period of time. Perhaps Disney should consider starting a minute or two earlier so the delivery is more professional. In any case, that women was not up to the job no matter how much time she would have had. I can't imagine why they would have put someone with an obvious lack of poise and experience into a position of being the hostess of that broadcast.

Now we get to the camera work on the fireworks. Someone in the control booth decided to superimpose the "closer to the Castle view" on top of the beach view from the Poly. This was a blunder to say the least. It looked like the fireworks were bursting off on the facade of the castle with THE CONTEMPORARY directly off to the right of the castle. WTH!!

The whole thing reminded me of a middle school broadcast production. The Disney Parks Blog is famous for a general incompetence and it's useless nature. That tradition continued with their botching up of this fireworks presentation.
