I agree that this production was a mess. The hostess at the beginning was delivering her lines like an auctioneer. That made for a stressful experience because you were wondering why she was doing that. It was the basic mistake of trying to cram too much info into too short a period of time. Perhaps Disney should consider starting a minute or two earlier so the delivery is more professional. In any case, that women was not up to the job no matter how much time she would have had. I can't imagine why they would have put someone with an obvious lack of poise and experience into a position of being the hostess of that broadcast.
Now we get to the camera work on the fireworks. Someone in the control booth decided to superimpose the "closer to the Castle view" on top of the beach view from the Poly. This was a blunder to say the least. It looked like the fireworks were bursting off on the facade of the castle with THE CONTEMPORARY directly off to the right of the castle. WTH!!
The whole thing reminded me of a middle school broadcast production. The Disney Parks Blog is famous for a general incompetence and it's useless nature. That tradition continued with their botching up of this fireworks presentation.
