 I told my husband I am going to give up trying to plan a trip for this fall. I got into an accident last week, so we are having to pay to repair my car. Then with the time he took off for the birth of our son I am not sure if he will be able to take any time off the rest of the year. Also DH's dad isn't in the greatest of health, so any vacation time we get we will go up to see him. I am so sad, but I am hoping we will be able to go in 2012.:sad1:

I sent you a PM. The damage wasn't too bad. It will take a good chunk to fix since we only had liability on my car. I was the "lucky" last car in a 4 car pile up on a main street. I am just praising the Lord my boys were ok.

I am so sorry to hear about this. Thank God that no one was hurt in the accident.

I start a change jar. Hopefully you get to DL before it's filled with a millions coins. But at least when the time come you'll have some money around, even if only enough to buy churros.

That's a shame. The guy who caused the accident should have had to pay for all repairs. Seems fair, right???:confused3

Unfortunately, if you rear-end someone (no matter how quickly they stop), it's your fault. The only one not at fault is the one who stopped short in the first place. Ironic, isn't it?

So, OP, do you (or your insurance) have to pay for some of the damage on the car that you hit (even though they hit someone else as well)? Multi-car pileups are confusing...

PS - Sorry if I seem uncaring. I'm glad you and your kids are ok and sad that you won't be able to Disney this year...just got caught up in the secondary conversation...

starshine is right, ir sucks if you are the last car to hit you get the blame..and if the other cars get damage some cases your insurance has to pay that also

Thanks everyone. The accident had already occurred right before I joined in. I just couldn't stop in time and no way to get out of the way. Since we just had liability on my car we have to pay for the repairs. Thank goodness for tax refunds!!!!!

I am sorry too, for the accident and other crosses that you are bearing at this time. What relief though, that everyone is OK. Thank goodness for that.
Disney is open 365 days a year, like Denny's, so don't you worry....Disneyland will be waiting for you and your family with wide open arms, and miles of smiles to greet you.

Yeah, I knew about the whole, "having control of your vehicle at all times" thing. But I have never been in a multi-car accident and thought perhaps the rules were different. Sad that you have to postpone your trip. If it consoles you at all, in 2007 we had a whole Christmas trip to DL planned and booked. My husband had surgery on his foot in January of 2007 and it ended up with him being off work for several month's........so you guessed it, no trip to DL.:sad2: I hate it when life gets in the way of our fun.

I love that! Now why can't Disney be as cheap as Denny's?????:rotfl:

Yes that would be nice. :) I got a good chuckle over that one. :lmao:
Maybe Disney is listening? :hippie:
It would be nice if at least Disney could extend their monthly annual pass payment plan to those of us that live north of them.

I agree!

OP I'm glad you weren't hurt and neither were your kids. Accidents are so scary!! I hope you're able to go to DL again soon....we've been gone for over a year and we are going back in just a couple of weeks, it was a last minute decision but I cannot wait!! :) I'm sure you will get your trip soon!
