Well, I originally, when starting to plan this trip about a year ago, thought that when we called and made our ressies for All Star Movies that we would be able to get AAA discount on our room. When we called several months ago(we are going the first week of Nov)they said that they were already out of rooms with the AAA discount but to watch for other discounts as the months go by. Well, I have watched and there doesn't seem to be anything coming up. Let's face it, unless you are a member of something or are in the military, there's not much for discounts out there. So my question is, do we stay somewhere else with a cheaper rate(like offsite) or do we wait and hope for a break or do we bite the bullet and stay at ASMo as we have been told........the whole "disney experience" thing that you HAVE to stay onsite??? Guess I am getting stressed because I really didn't want to spend that much on lodging.........even during "value season" with all the taxes and stuff, it's $86 per night and that's alot of moolah to us poor folk....heehee...............

I would definitely recommend staying onsite, it makes the experience that much better. Plus, if you have to rent a car, factor that extra price in if you stay offsite. You won't need a car if you are on Disney property.

I would call back and see if there is any availibility with the AAA discount at either Sports or Music. Movies usually books up first so discounts are harder to come by than at the other All Stars. They are all pretty much the same.

We had thought about music or sports but got the feeling from what some people have said that there are hoards of kids that stay at those resorts on vaca with school groups and that they are loud and unsupervised. Has anyone had that experience??

Most schools trips or other trips (Pop Warner) stay in the values to keep their costs down. While some do stay at the moderates, I wouldn't rely on your thinking that they wouldn't be at the movies. I have booked a couple trips for school and they were at all 3 values.

We found the only AS resort to have the AAA discount right now is the ASsp. We tried to extend our vacation at the ASMo with the discount but it was not available.

The CM said to keep trying you just never know if it will be available or not.
