Checked for discounts at the moderates, primarily interested in POR FQ or Riverside-Mansions....nothing doing for 6Dec-15Dec. Had them look for AP or any code that they were willing to offer (I hate how you have to play such a game about it); I am sure part of our problem is the length of our stay. We were mainly doing it for Magic Mornings and the bus service. Our family has a 2 and a 5 yoa. We always get a rental car but breaking up for the little one's nap is not as easy off-site. We are just going to stay at Vistana Resort in a 1 bedroom for a government rate $86. The washer and dryer, fridge, separate bedroom, microwave etc., will be fine. It is not like we will be slumming or anything. Hope others who planned ahead were able to do better.

I just checked on disneyworld.com for your dates for a moderate. They didn't have POFQ, but they did have CSR for $85.00 per night plus tax. So, if you don't mind Coronado Springs, check it out.:D

EpcotBill,
I must be doing something wrong because I received nothing available when I checked online. Any ideas?

Hmmm. I just tried it again and got nothing. I would call CRO and ask for the code from the website, BBN. Good luck.

I got availablity at POFQ and riverside and CSR....the cost was $147 per night....It seems that all of the codes out there except AP have expired for that time of year...Expedia also had rooms

I tried once again late last night. This was after others and myself had found nothing discounted at the moderates. Well, I clicked on the "vacation savings" box just like before. I entered the same dates. I put in ASSp just to see if anything at all was coming back discounted....I got a message that said standby, checking alternative inventory. Then, CSR came back as a possible selection. I clicked it and low and behold $84.24 a night $94.36 including tax for a standard view. This was of course without any type of code or AP request, because there is no way to enter a code on the Disney site.

When I checked the CSR without going thru the "vacation savings" box, it came back $131.76 a night $147.64 including tax for the same standard view. It is almost like dealing with Disney's reservation folks...just kidding. The odd part is that just an hour or so early on Sunday night when nothing was really going on as far as reservations being taken, I got nothing back using the "vacation savings" box.

I made the reservation and now we have to sit down 1 last time to try and decided which makes the most sense for us--Vistana Resort or CSR.

Thank you so much for your response and actually going onto the site and reporting back your findings, EpcotBill and Zurg'swife. That is what gave me the idea to check one last time. Now we have to make a decision.

Will someone give me directions on where this vacation savings box is on the Disney website, I cannot find it....

It's the blue box in the left part of the screen, on the very first page of the site, the home page. Then the screen comes up with sort of what the deal is, and you have to scroll down to where it says "Click here" and click on those words, to start making the reservation.

Took me three times to find the savings box....glad you could find the price that worked....
