No dinner?

i am trying to make a dinner reservation at Lombards for our Easter weekend trip (Good Friday) and the latest they show available online is 3:45pm. I checked some other dates at random, including this Friday, and found the same thing. Do they not take dinner reservations?

We're staying at RP, so we'll have the priority seating, but we really want to eat at Lombards that night so I figured a reservation made more sense. But 3:45pm is a little early for dinner...

Thoughts?

Then why on the website does it say their hours are "lunch and dinner daily" and the menu is called a Lunch And Dinner menu? That doesn't make any sense. Are all the in-park restaurants like that? Do we have to head out to Citywalk to eat dinner?

Sorry- I meant that sometimes they don’t offer dinner. It depends on Park hours. If you can get by with some hearty snacks late afternoon, I’d do a late dinner on CityWalk once the park closes so you can maximize park time.

I picked random days-March 19, March 29th, March 30th (Good Friday) and even into April and 2 people and the latest is 3:45pm. It could be that seasonly they operate on a lunch only time-frame versus both lunch and dinner.

I would suggest calling as the PP suggested though to get clarification.

Thanks. Just seems weird since they just extended park hours to 10pm. Why wouldn't you be able to get a sit-down dinner with the park open that late?

Guess we'll wait and see what we can find when we get there. Phoning isn't an option since I'm Canadian and it's a pricey international long distance call with (I'm assuming) a ton of time spent on hold. Everything I've read says reservations aren't as important at US as they are at WDW, so even though it feels strange, I'm going to trust it and go with the flow.

I went with two friends to Lombards on a Friday in October

We had a ressie for 3:45
Was told they closed at 6:00 that night

Ended up leaving there about 5:30
Did drinks, apps then dinner meal

Was nice we weren’t rushed at all for the time we were there

We were surprised when informed 3:45 was the last booking time

But, it turned out fine as service and food was excellent

That number is the direct number to restaurant. I phoned for you, and at this time they are open till 6 pm weekend of Easter.

Park closing hours vary for both parks. My guess is the reason that US is open till 10 pm is Mardi Gras Celebration with parade etc.. is occurring every night at Universal Studios until April 7th.

Maybe a leisurely early meal as Mac suggested and then watch the parade and catch some beads. All the rides will be closed while parade is going on.

Thanks for checking into it for me. Seems weird, but I guess with CityWalk right there they don't do enough dinner business to make it worth staying open. Just used to WDW, I guess, where you can book meals even after official park close, as long as they can keep you captive and make more money.
