No dining plan if you stay on AP discount?

I spend half my money on WDW, and waste the rest.

We wanted to try the DP on a one night stay but our room has the AP discount so it was denied (actually they said you need to buy park tickets?), anyway we then have 5 nights DVC so we may just go for it. I thought the DP was for AP holders. :confused3

You can get the Disney Dining Experience if you are an AP holder. Not the dining plan.

Your only option is to book it for your 5 night DVC stay.

We are doing something similar. We are staying in a Value Resort during high point DVC nights prior to checking in on Sunday. We got the dining plan on our DVC stay, so we will have it for 5 nights in DVC, for the other two nights, we just planned on cheaper meals.
