No dining plan if staying at SOG?

I've looked and looked and I just want a bit of confirmation from some regulars. We'll be staying at SOG, which I know is not a Disney resort.....so we can't add on either of the dining plans to our tickets, correct?

it could be worst - there was a time earlier this year - when SOG was going to do away with EMH.....

but enough disers who also use SOG emailed them to stop it....



You do get DME - disney's magical express - you are the only non-WDW resorts to get this - even D/s don't have it.

Kate - the SOG has a great buffet for both breakfast and dinner - if you are at the hotel - for us we were up and out and not back until late but we did do the breakfast a couple of times and it was wonderful - we also did the dinner buffet once and it was tons of food for the price. If you take advantage of the dining at the SOG it will save you some money - have a great time - SOG is one of our favorite places to stay - they happened to be booked solid for our April stay so we are trying CSR - with a AAA rate as it was better than the SOG overflow rate- also if you use the overflow rate you can not use the dining plan...

Many thanks to you both! This will be our first time with our 3 kids and we are really looking forward to it. I'm probably more excited than the kids.

Spiceykat, I'll call SOG again to verify, but when I spoke to someone at SOG before, they said they did not participate in DME.

Actually, I checked a couple of different sites and they both said that DME is NOT available for SOG. Perhaps this policy changed recently and the sites have not been updated. Did you actually use DME for transportation to SOG?
