NO ddp! would like to do character meal

How much time will it take to get to the POLY from another resort? (ASMO) I'm still not sure where we are eating yet leaning toward Ohana and Crystal Palace. Maybe tusker house too:confused3 I don't know !

Always plan 1 hour to get between any two resorts. Although, it usually doesn't take that long.

She is in to all the characters!:rotfl: When I ask who she wants to eat w/ she will say yes to whoever is at that particular restaurant! Last year was really into Minnie and Mickey, this year she is all over the place! I think she would be happy with whatever characters are there. I just want the best food, least expensive, and most variety that is offered! I will have 15yo and 13yo too.

I think Crystal Palace is the best reviewed character spot. It consistently gets good marks for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you're not into breakfast (note that this restaurant has a several unique and YUMMY breakfast offerings), take a look at the lunch and dinner menus. Every review I've ever seen of lunch and/or dinner at CP has made me want to eat there. The food looks fabulous. Warning: It can be PACKED and kind of hectic. I would guess that you're spending a lot of time in the Magic Kingdom, so CP would be convenient for you. CP is one of the few character meals that people will book SOLELY for the food.

If you want princesses, Akershus in Epcot provides great character interaction. I rarely see a review where someone is impressed with the food though. We had lunch here and thought the food was just ok.

I have seen rave reviews of Garden Grill in Epcot. It's a unique setting and the character interaction is supposed to be great. Check out the menu to see if it interests you. I believe they are only serving dinner now.

If your character meal will fit well into an AK day, I have also seen rave reviews of Donald's Safari Breakfast in AK.

Lastly, if you are looking for a less hectic option and are willing to venture out to the resorts, our favorite character meal is breakfast at Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club resort. VERY laid back, tons of one-on-one character time, and a really nice, fresh buffet.

You have tons of choices and are going to have a great time! It may come down to what you can book and how the meal fits in with your touring plans.

I did not see the Cape May Cafe breakfast mentioned...it is at the Beach Club resort, and has Minnie, Goofy, and Donald in swimming attire.....

From what I have read, it is the least expensive character meal. Reports are that it is very leisurely, and you get good interaction/plenty of time with characters, and the food is good. (I am planning to go for the first time this year.)

We have always done Chef Mickey's at Contemporary for the characters and the Grand Floridian (I forget what the restaurant is called but it has Mary Poppins characters and Alice in Wonderland) for the food. We always think GF has the better breakfast food. We like the Poly characters but the food was lousy.
