I overheard someone ask a cast member in liberty square the other day why the bell doesn’t show a crack (like the actual liberty bell in liberty square)? The cast member didn’t know, this made me curious as I had not thought about this previously. Does anyone have the answer?

My understanding is that it is a bell that was cast in the same mold as the real liberty bell. There is no crack because the bell hasn't actually cracked like the real one.

My understanding is that Liberty Square is supposed to represent the colonial/revolutionary period (i.e. the 1770s). The famous crack in the bell (the one that didn't result in it being scrapped and recast) took place at least 50 years later. It would be anachronistic for it to be cracked.

From WDWInfo.com:
In 1976, 50 replicas were cast and molded in honor of our country’s 200th birthday. Each state would receive one and place it in a spot of their choice. However, the state of Pennsylvania had a problem. They already had the original Liberty Bell in Philadelphia. Why would they want a replica? Years later, Walt Disney World realized Pennsylvania had the replica and asked if they could have it for Liberty Square. Pennsylvania agreed and on July 4th, 1989 the replica Liberty Bell was hoisted and lowered into its permanent spot inside Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom where it still sits today. Florida remains the only state with two of the 50 replica Liberty Bells.

There's the Davy Crockett theory...

He went off to Congress an' served a spell
fixin' up the Govern'ments an' laws as well
took over Washin'ton so we heered tell
an' patched up the crack in the Liberty Bell
Davy, Davy Crockett, seein' his duty clear!
