No confirmation number for reservation

I had to call Rainforest Cafe at Disney Springs directly to make a reservation due to our party size. I just realized that I wasn't given a confirmation number, is normal or should I be calling back for one.

They did take my name and cell number.

Confirmation number is a Disney thing. You didn't book with Disney and this reservation does not link to MDE. You're fine.

Your cell number is your confirmation number there when you call the restaurant directly to make your reservation. I've done it many times.

Yes.

But most of Disney Springs don't do most of their reservations through Disney. They do their own.
