We're at VWL and had some downtime last night. Thought we'd go and check out a couple of games (did this at SSR last trip from community hall) and were surprised that no one at the desk could answer this question. The consensus was that there is no place. Is this correct? Now that we think about it, there's no community hall at VWL or BCV. Do neither of these resorts have additional entertainment options besides the children's activities that are scheduled? What about Animal Kingdom Villas? Will they have the option? From now on, I'll pack a few things just in case, but it would be nice to know ahead of time.

That is correct. There are no games checkout at VWL. You can check out videos in the gift shop.

It really depends on the recreation staff. I dont recall VWL having an active rec staff. Most times this question is asked, most recommend taking the boat to Fort Wilderness to enjoy the many activities offered over there.

BCV did beef up their staff last year and started offering movies on the beach, campfires, ping pong behind Hurricane Hannas and pool games and parties. They also offered towel animals in the Villa lobby.

AKV will have a community hall when Kidani is opened. Right now they offer a schedule of activities and DVD checkout. They do have an active rec staff and conservation team that offers activities in the lobbby, nightvision viewing, and a campfire with stories.

I think VWL has the least to offer in the recreational department, but it is very close to FW and Contemp. and MK.

We spend 90% of our vacation at or around the resort, so we always check out the recreational activities offered.
