No codes on Monday

Just got off phone. NO codes. As usual she said it should be this week. No rumors of them not coming out.

I emailed Mary, author of Mousesavers, to ask if she thought AP codes would come out. She believes that Disney is done with the AP codes for any stays after October, and that the only thing AP holders will get is the best rate program. This does not make me happy one bit, as it sounds much more difficult to get those rates on the dates you want. I really preferred the codes....

I don't mind if they think they have to change offers so much, except why lie to us? Over and over CM's from CRO to within sales and marketing departments have reiterated that BRP would enhance, not replace the current way discounts are released. If they aren't going to they should say so. This 'maybe tomorrow', or 'rumors are that they'll be out really soon' business is ridiculous!!!

I've read in more than one thread that CMs at CRO are hinting about new rates being released Sept 1. Now, as to whether they will be AP rates or general public package rates (COME ON FREE DINING!) is anyone's guess. Though in the past different types of rates have been released together or within 48 hours of each other....new rates always SEEM to come on on a Thursday and since Sept 1 is a Thursday I'm wondering if there may be some validity to this rumor.

Also, I'm curious as to if Katrina will have any effect on new rates. It hit Miami, which is a good distance from Orlando. BUT so. Florida is stil so. Florida. Wonder if it might act as a final push?

Won't the BRP hurt someone (like myself) who takes quick trips sometimes from doing that anymore? Do you mean I have to plan??? I guess I will not be taking as many trips anymore..HMMMM...Disney needs to really rethink this..My DH and I love to go down but having to put down a nonrefundable deposit and plan at least 60 days out is difficult...Especially for the business we are in. This has become a real disappointment..

I talked to a CM this morning about 10 am EST and he told me that Best Rate was going to be the only thing offfered for our trip time (dec 5-14) and that AP rates would not be released again until the current times for best rate are exhausted if ever at all. I think Best Rate will now allow booking up thru Feb, so it looks like BR is going to be the only way to get a discount for my trip.
