No cocktail table in BWV Studios

How long is it that the BWV studio units no longer have a cocktail table in front of the couch? Just a big open space there right now.

Supposedly because when the couch is pulled out there wasn't enough room left according to housekeeping.

Does the room have coasters? No sense having a cocktail table if one does not have a coaster on which to place the cocktail.

I have been an owner at BWV for 14 years. As far as I can recall, the studios never had a table in front of the couch.

I'm glad there's no coffee table in front of the sofa. We always use the sofa bed and there's no place to put a large table when the sofa's open.

I've never had a cocktail table in front of the loveseat in a studio. I have had one in front of the couch in a one and two bedroom.

Actually, the room does have coasters!

Just checked a Member's Guidebook I still have from 10 years ago which provides room layouts for the resorts. At that time, BWV had no table in front of the studio couch.

Thanks. I've stayed at just about all the DVC resorts (not HHI, VB or BLT) and thought they all had something in front of the couch in a studio. (Yes, I know that OKW studios don't have couches.) So obviously I've min-remembered about BWV. Thanks for letting me know.

We bring one with us from home! It is a folding aluminum table made for camping that fits in our checked luggage. -- Suzanne

This was brought up at an annual meeting that I attended years ago. They said they were going to be added but they never were. One of the reasons I don't get too excited by anything promised at an annual meeting (like online booking is coming soon, another thing brought up years ago....).

We just stayed at BCV for two weeks and we had one.

We were in a BWV 2 bedroom over NYE. I was so exited to see the coffee table, but then I remembered that it was the studio that didn't have one. I went into that bedroom and no, not a coffee table. Oh well, usually we are in a studio and I miss one.

I was at that meeting also. I think it was in 2003 (I could be wrong on that, though). I do remember that the first time I stayed at BWV, I immediately called housekeeping to tell them that I hadn't stolen the coffee table-it was missing when I got there.That's when I found out that there wasn't one!

If I remember our Boardwalk studio stay correctly, we just pulled a small end table type thing from the balcony into the room to use. Do they still have those on the balcony? Lightweight, not glamorous, but suits the purpose just fine!
