No Canadian summer ICP?

Rumour has it that Disney will not be recruiting in Canada for Summer 2008. This does not seem to have been a public announcement - the only info I have comes from the Facebook group that was started to protest this decision:

Please, oh please, if this is of concern to you, then check out the Facebook group. And if anyone has seen any other "official announcement" I'm sure the source would be appreciated.

My daughter is in first-year university and had her heart set on taking part in the ICP next summer - we're heartbroken at the thought that it might not happen.

My DD did ICP last summer and told me this same thing last nite...too sad..hope there are enough signatures to make them change their minds

Hi all. There wasn't an official announcement made. Brynna, my daughter who has completed 2 summer ICPs, was called by Eric at Cast-a-Way (he does the organizing for the Canadians). He advised her there wouldn't be an interview for her in November and this spurned her and her fellow ICP friends to get the petition going. Hopefully it works!
