No birthday cruise after all

My boyfriend was unable to get the time off from work for the Oct. 15 Eastern cruise. He said there were no days available for Oct at all! However, he did manage to get 2 weeks off in November that would allow him to do the Nov 12 cruise.

I'll find out if I can get that same time off on Tuesday....but I didn't really want to cruise in November! If I take vacation time that month, I risk not getting to be trained for any of the holiday stuff at WDW since most of that stuff starts rehearing that month. Last year, I was in MK's treelighting as a gingerbread man. I was sort of hoping to be in one of the Christmas parades this year since I've improved my dancing score.

I guess it's not really a choice of which I want to do, but rather which I'm willing to put off I guess I could always try for the parade next year...there's no guarentee I'd get trained anyway. Or I could save up money and put off the cruise till next year....

Then again, if I can't get the same vacation time in November, this whole discusion is moot point anyway.

Don't you just hate when you have to choice between 2 things you really want?

I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you & wishing for PD to come your way so that you can both go on the ship at the same time. Our first cruise was 11/15/03 and the ship was decorated for the holidays when we boarded, then the giant tree went up that night while we slept. It is so beautiful that time of year.
