No belt loops?!

My plan this year was to go bag free. All I needed was to find some cargo shorts and a packable rain jacket that I could hang from a belt loop. I found both - then discovered the 4 pairs of cargo shorts that I love don't have belt loops! Worse case scenario, I can keep looking for more cargo shorts. But these fit me really well (which is not easy) so I wanted to ask here if anyone has any ideas about how to hang my jacket. Thanks!

We get the cheap plastic rain ponchos at Walmart for $.99. Then they go into our pockets since they are so small when folded.
