No availability for early/mid November?

My husband and I will be in town for two nights (11/10-11/12) and thought it would be fun to stay at Pop or CBR and go to Epcot for one day. I know it’s Veteran’s Day timing, but crowd levels don’t look to be too high and all parks still show availability. Not only are those hotels not available, MOST hotels are not available. Only two showing availability are Bay Lake Tower and Old Key West. What’s going on? Is it just severely reduced capacities? I’ve got the 30 day out timeframe marked on my calendar. Maybe some availability will show up when vacation package balances become due. I don’t ever remember seeing such limited availability before, even during great promotions.

Pent up demand, the 50th and Veterans day. Also it is Jersey week when all the NJ schools are out. And add to that the Food and Wine is winding down so many are making one last visit before the 20th.

I think we're hitting the point where park reservation availability should be more of a non issue? If they're flexing open to pre-pandemic levels, you shouldn't run out of reservations most days.

Those are also odd days of the week. I imagine most of the reservations that week are for the full week, so the algorithm might not let you book anything to avoid an orphaned room.

Most of November is looking that way…the week we are there 17-23 of November not one single hotel is showing as available. Not sure when the last time I saw that happen was… In addition, the All Star Music is scheduled to re-open in September and according to the boards, some people are already being moved from there to CBR by Disney in September and October. November will probably follow. It seems like they may be holding back some rooms in case others are not ready.

I wonder if it has to do with with ASMU not opening unti Dec now. They mostly likely have some real logistical challenges.

That’s what I’m thinking…of course all speculation. Some people haven’t been moved yet. Maybe they will partially open the resort? So many questions!

I need to add one or two days to my November trip due to flight availability and there is nothing under $680/night. (currently at CBR and don't want to change, but will if I have to ) I booked offsite as a back up, but I'm not thrilled with that option. I have never had this much trouble finding a room.

I'm having the same problem finding something for the second week of December. I came here to see if anyone else was having issues...I thought it might be a glitch in the reservation system! We've been going at this same time of year for the past 10 years and I've always had plenty of options. I usually book in June or July, so I'm late this year, but it's still very strange. I did a search splitting my stay and got more options. Maybe because we're going from Wed to Mon the weekend is throwing it off.

I don't like reading this. Just cancelled an upcoming trip and was ready to reschedule in November. Fingers crossed things will open up if I keep checking.

Maybe, because lots more availability when i look just for 2 people in a room.

my guess is that it has more to do with staffing/supplies than safety

No In late June when W&D was announced the “cheapest” room I found at first was AKL than they announced POFQ, POR, and music would open before than…. We decided on FQ over music and I’m glad with recent rumors

I snagged a split stay with Pop / also Pop two weeks ago for early November. Since then I've been frequently checking back and I've had no luck finding a way to make it all just be in the same room.

I did the same with CBR at the end of November. I’m just going to call and see if I can make it all one reservation. I absolutely hate to call because it’s usually at least an hour wait

I'm really hoping the November and December room scarcity doesn't mean the resort is booked to capacity (other than ASM). It just doesn't feel safe yet to have people shoulder to shoulder in the parks.

AS Sport isn’t slated to open till December so that resort capacity will be off the table

I would assume they aren’t booking all rooms cause with rumors musics reopen is being bumped from September to December where would they put displaced guests

I didn't realize both ASMovies and ASSports are both (probably) off the table during this period. That's a lot of rooms, right? Now it makes more sense that they are holding rooms back in the moderates to make sure they can accommodate already confirmed guests.

Music was supposed to open September but is rumored to be pushed to a December open
French quarter and riverside open October

I just called took about 30 minutes. They were able to link my Nov 27-28 room to my Nov 28-1 reservation into one reservation. Both were the same type of room. I just grabbed the one night awhile back because I couldn’t find a room for nov 27 to the 1st.
So I’m glad I got it all put into one reservation.
