No Alien Green at Home Depot

All of this talk of the colored Mickey head paint chips gave me an idea. I usually like to do some kind of trip countdown for my DBF, and I decided that these colored Mickey's offered an opportunity! I have gotten one head for each day of the countdown, and written the number of days left on each. Beginning tomorrow I am going to place one strategically around the house/car/wallet/etc so DBF will have a friendly reminder of the days left until our first WL stay! I'm sure people have probably done this before, but I thought someone else might be interested.

p.s. I got the colred Mickey heads over several trip to Home Depot so as I did not look like a freak who was hoarding paint chips

Well my son just walked in the door with 15 MHPC's all colors. The HD paint dept said..."oh go ahead take as many as you like"...my son says..."these are for my mom"...lady says.."wow, she is going to be doing some serious painting, huh?"...my son says..."no, she is actually going to use the PC's as decoration around one window in her office"...lady says..."well we all love being young at heart"....

Yes, my son "raided" the PC's and I have a window in my office and have managed to decorate the entire window with all COLORED PC's...looks so neat...!!!!

I have stocked up on Mickey heads (lime green of course) (and all I could get was Sonic Boom) if anyone is interested I would be willing to snail mail you some. The other option is I can scan them in and send you a file. If you are interested let me know. I would be happy to help a fellow DISer.

What a cute and great idea!! I love it!! I think I made need to make a trip back to Home Depot!!

I go up to the display ready to grab a handful and run...
and there are 4! All that prep work and 4 LGMH. so who else out there goes to the HD in Wilton, NY?????

LOL. Well, I do, but I haven't picked up LGMH in years. I do know of several other DISers in the area - maybe one of them has a big trip or scrapbooking project coming up.

We have a trip in October, but I don't really know what I'd do with the paint chips. The countdown idea is cute ... maybe I'd hang them from the rearview mirror and see if my kids noticed.

I took 8, and left some for the others. Although I took more of the other colors. I thought I'd make a collage of different colors.

I want to do this to our stroller too, as well as our poster board for our room window. Does anyone know how to laminate? Do I have to bring them into Staples or something? Is there a way to do it at home? Thanks!

You can always buy clear shelving paper/contact paper. That's what I use.

I have him stuck now though after our wedding at Disney because I've told him...all of the anniversaries will be celebrated at WDW! Oh yes!!

I know I've changed him because we just booked a Thanksgiving trip to WDW and it was his idea!! Oh, yes!!

What's a paint stamper??

At Home Depot they have alot of Disney stuff. The stamper is a foam form of Mickey. You put paint on it and "stamp" it onto whatever you want.

I've stamped walls, shirts, teapots etc.

If you stamp something that needs to resist heat, then you use heat resistant paint.

My mom happened to be at Home Depot today, and snatched me ALL the LGMH's - I leave for WDW on Thursday, but if anyone would like a few mailed to them before then, PM me your addy. Or if you're staying at Pop the same time as I am (14th - 19th) I'll gladly give you a few there. Eeee!
