No 2br or GV at BWV

I called MS today to just get an idea what was available at BWV for 11/2-9/08. I need a H/C 2br and a non H/C 2 br and possibly a studio, but also inguired about the Grand Villa. I did explained to the person answering the phone that my 7 month mark wasn't until next week but was just feeling things out. I was told NO 2br or GV. I said NO H/C 2br and he said No 2br's at all along with no GV. I was told this the minute I got the request out of my mouth(LOL). I do wonder if he even looked. I expected the no GV but not the 2br. I was hoping to cancel my SSR and get 2 2br and a studio. I keep saying I need to buy points at BWV. I guess I need to stop saying it and just do it. Susan

I'm not surprised. I believe the Food & Wine will still be on - probably the last week. Also that may be Jersey Week. The last quarter of the year is very difficult for the smaller DVCs (BWV, BCV, VWL).

While not likely to be successful, I'd wait list this trip for all the units as a group just in case.

Yes this is the last week of F&W along with Jersey week and SSW. I new it would be tight but at least thought I'd get the 2 br's . We are going because of F&W. We will enjoy wherever we stay but it would have been so convienent to stay at BWV because we spend more time at Hollywood studios and WS then anywhere else. So now I guess that 200 points I need at BWV will be purchased sooner than later . Susan

Unfortunately, lots of DVC members feel the same way. Just like you plan to do, many purchased at BWV so they wouldn't have to waitlist to stay there during the more popular times of the year.

I'm not surprised that BWV is sold out for that week - and I'm quite sure availability is very limited for anytime beginning with October. There are always some non-owners who manage to get in at 7 months, but those who do are lucky and take full advantage of the booking rules (i.e., call day by day and willing to waitlist as needed).

I would take the chance with waitlist but this trip will have my DS along with his caregivers and a few family members and a DF of mine. I really need to have the plan at 7 months and stick with it no chancing a waitlist. I will ask again when I call on Wednesday if any availability came up and if so I will do the day by day. We will be spending the next week at AKV in a GV. DD and friends are in Concierge. It will be a great vacation I'm just having Boardwalk envy . Susan
