Trip to Ashford http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2355451
Day 1 - Christmas Eve
Woke at 4am arriving at terminal in time for 06.20 shuttle.
Journey from Calais to DLRP took 4 hours as freezing fog all way + stop for breakfast (with V power diesel for the car!!)
Parked in A3 and wandered through Disney Village bag checks (yep more token scrutiny). Decided to try King Ludwigs for lunch (never been there before) and had scrummy flammkuchen followed by a cafe gourmand (cappuchino + 3 mini desserts).
Went to studios to be underwhelmed by their christmas theming and as the wait time for crush was only 25 mins, gave it a whirl: quite literally - in the style of Pumba...
At the end I became downhearted... as me and my lunch nearly parted!!!
Ambled through Christmas Market to DP and walk on to train. Did a circuit then went to see A Small World meets Jingle Bells - very effective.
(Yes I had some popcorn).
It was now time to check into Residence Home Business so picked up a hot chocolate from the market - absolutely fantastic.
VMM (see previous threads) No instructions for safe so receptionist came up... she couldn't get it to work so offered me a new room. Went to check it out and slipped on bedroom floor (still wet from cleaning)... ouch... found several sets of instructions in safe so decided to keep original room ? 1 set of instructions. Safe in room now works.
Seriously, this hotel gives a lot of bang for the buck - think DLH suite for price of cheap hotel in Bussy St George (even got free internet access)
Anyway contemplating going back to park - easy now I have found shortcuts.
Had food at Fuente Del Oro (fajitas) then Fantillusion.
